I have tried using shaving cream with aloe, using lotion after shaving, not using lotion after shaving, using a sharp blade, using a new razor brand, but I still get red bumps on my legs usually less than a day after shaving. recently i've just been icing it so that the pain goes down, but this is a very impractical/temporary solution. Please, what should I do?

It's how press the razor against your skin. Always using fresh, first-time use razor is good start. But you need to be gentle as it seems you have a very sensitive skin.

Try applying lotion before shaving instead of after. This should help the razor's blade slide smoothly over your skin with the minimum or zero pressure applied.

Skintastic has an after-shave gel that works really great and it smells really good too. You just rub a little bit on your legs after you get out of the shower and it prevents razor burn. It should be in the shaving aisle right next to normal shaving cream in any store you go to.

The temperature at which you shave makes a difference. If you shave after a warm shower, your skin will be a bit more smoothe and your pores will be open which reduces the nicks caused from shaving (which result in the redness, bumps, etc). So try to shave after a warm shower and NOT a cold one.

one shave in morning next shave in shower bath then gel up legs when you are finished i would use peroxide (put in mist bottle ) because you could also have a rash or some kind of skin infection it will act like toner for your face and close pores without burning , but what you are describing sounds like razor burn , this should help right away but i would skip 2 days to let that heal up some first ,ugly but true and lastly i would use aloe gel on legs before lotion

Make sure you shave at the end of your shower because the hair is easier to shave then (something about the steam opening the pores blah blah). Also there are creams out there for that problem mainly targeted for the bikini area but they work on your legs too. I can't remember the name of the one I use but you can find those creams at any drugstore.

I use dove soap, with the 1/4 moisturizing lotion. I also DO NOT use disposable shavers, and make sure that your blade isn't too dull. Assuming you have done this, make sure you always moisturize afterwards, with a mild but potent lotion I like an after sun lotion myself. For instance I notice that if I use a lotion with Alpha Hydroxy Acids in it, I can feel it sting. You said that you use BnB works product... that is loaded with scents, try something without so much irritants. Aveeno is also good because the oatmeal helps calm. I could go on all day about products but Dove and Aveeno are your best bet. :)

Go to your local drug store and get a buff puff great for exfoliating your skin. Before you go to bed have a nice hot bath and exfoliate.....obviously after you current condition subsides. Then cover your legs in a nice rich cream and wear pj bottoms to let it soak in during the night. Next day exfoliate and use a shaving cream for sensitive skin and you should notice a big difference.

Apply baby oil on your legs then with a good blade not the cheapees get a for senistive skin and apply VO5 conditioner on your legs to shave. After you are done apply cocoa butter on your legs and this should help.
If it happens again see a dermantologist.

I have the same problem. I just started using the Venus Breeze razor and it seems to help. I also use a spray made by noxema that's supposed to help with redness and bumps in your bikini area, but I use it on my legs too. Try both of these and maybe they'll help!

try this one: because when shaving, the pores of the skin is open, and if you wash it, the water enters into the pores. and that makes the red bumps. take a bath first before shaving. after shaving do not wash your legs. if it you are still having it, i advice you to consult your dermatologist.
