I had cracked heels so bad I would actually have the skin snag on carpet and get pulled off. I put a layer of vaseline on my feet everynight and cover them with ankle high socks. They are smooth as silk now. I also use a pumice to exfoliate my heels every few days. I actually have nice looking feet now! Do the same for your hands, or coat them in olive oil. Use gloves if you want to protect your sheets. Either will make your hands soft and nice.

I'm in this same situation right now. However, I was diagnosed with eczema. Regardless though what I do for my dry skin is use fragrance-free lotion. Apply it as much as needed, preferably after you shower. Gently towel dry the areas leaving them just a bit moist and then apply the lotion to lock in the moisture. There is also this oatmeal mix to put in the bathtub to help moisturize your skin made by Aveeno. Also, don't take hot showers. Hot water will dry out your skin even more! Good luck! Hope this helps.

you should try putting lotion on your feet and hands and then putting on gloves and socks. I've never had a problem with dry hands, but I know that if you do that with your feet it will make them softer. probably the best time to do it would be before you go to bed but that's just my opinion.

i saw on the tyra show that if you actually put crisco (shortning) on those trouble spots, cover them with socks and/or gloves and leave it overnight, it should take care of it.
