'Feeling' has nothing to do with anything. You pray for strength, then you have the strength. You always get by, don't you?
Do you always 'feel' like you look pretty or handsome? No, but that doesn't change the looks of your face or hair. It just means you 'feel' a certain way.
Don't worry about feeling weak. Just accept the strength.
And it's not silly to pray, and there is a God who cares. May He bless you.

My friend, I have been around for some time now, and I have been a PRAYING woman even when I was walking a road without God. For years I went to church, lived right, and prayed my way out of trouble. I have learned this lesson in life.
When I was younger I prayed to God for things that I never got. I prayed for sick people who passed over in death anyway. And I went through trials that I thought were more than I could bear, when Jesus said he would not put on us MORE than we could bear.
I walked away from God because I felt he did not hear me when I prayed. One day I came back to God because someone preached just what I needed to hear. A sermon about feelings.
He said in esscence that the biggest downfall to our prayer life is that nothing "FEELS" better when we are done. So as soon as we offer UP a prayer to heaven, satan knocks it down with his power to make us "FEEL" like "Nothing Happened." When we pray for strength, we do so believing that we will "FEEL" different. When in fact answered prayers have absolutely Nothing to do with "FEELINGS"
Example : I took this message and thought of a way to better understand it's meaning. Words of my own help me understand better, so this is what I got from the message.
We can "FEEL" the wind when it "Blows" on our face. BUT we do not "FEEL" the air we breathe because it is an automatic response, BUT get to the point when you "Can't get your breath and you feel "Panick". That is a human emotion. Satan uses our emotions to create doubt in our lives that GOD is responding to our need. Even when the wind is not blowing gently or fiercely it is there even when we can't "FEEL" it. We have been taught that God answers prayer so we pray out of faith. Faith makes us believe in things we cannot see. If we could SEE "STRENGTH" we would know it was there. But because it is something we can not see Satan is able to keep us doubting...and the bible plainly says we must not doubt. The best way to know you have strength when your BODY does not feel it or your mind does not seem changed is to picture in your mind an item you would purchase at a store. Make a cart in your mind and go to the shelf and put "STRENGTH" in your buggy. You won't "FEEL" any different but your MIND will envision that you have recieved it..then satan can not create doubt in your mind. Close your eyes when you need strength and hold onto it for dear life. When you are able to do this for a while, you will be able to FILL up your cart with everything you need, and you'll NO LONGER need to "FEEL" something in your life to KNOW you already have it.
I hope that you know that when you sincerely ask for strength , God will grant it...But also remember that in weakness we have more need of God, and so he May Not Give you the measure of strength that you "FEEL" you need but a measure that HE feels will help you in your time of need.

Because Jesus is your strength. When you pray for strength he increases in you. And because you are in the devil's territory everyone around you is going to look at you funny.

You will not get strength just because you prayed for it. You need to work for it.
If you are weak in spirit you need to associate with people who lift you up.
If you are physically weak and it is from affliction then you need to work at it through therapy.
If you are physically weak because you are a small person and you are trying to bulk up to be strong and lift weights, then just train.
Remember- If at first you don't succeed --TRY, TRY AGAIN.
Don't rely on Prayers alone.

Even if our prayers seem to go unanswered, this does not mean that God did not hear them.
prayers must meet certain requirements if they are to be acceptable to God. First, they must be directed exclusively to God—not to Jesus, to a "saint," or to an idol. (Exodus 20:4, 5) Prayers must also be offered in the name of God's Son, Jesus Christ.
Prayers must be offered in faith. Yes, faith produces actions, and they, in turn, show that we love God and are trying to please him.
Worshipers of God must also be persistent when praying. Of course, God's spirit does not make our decisions for us. On the contrary, personal effort is required.
God loves his worshipers and wants to help them. When his Kingdom exercises uncontested rulership over the earth, he will fully eliminate the horrible problems of this world. (Revelation 21:3, 4) Until that time we should persistently ask for his guidance in dealing with the problems of life.

When you pray, Pray with faith. Imagine yourself strong. Full of life and vitality.
It's all mental. Addictions are mental. They (circumstances) are neutral, how you think them to be, makes them positive or negative.

Maybe you're strong and don't realize it. You're looking through your feelings. Believe in what Christ has said, Cody:
"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Act on Christ's promises, not on how you feel. Emotions are deceptive, Jesus' promises are not.

Follow his word and he will build your character and your strength will increase. God does not snap his fingers and you are all better but he will get you the things that he already knows what you need, when you follow his word and fellowship with him.
