You need to make sure to drink at least 8 glasses of water per day. Add fiber to your diet, if you do not get it in foods you can buy it in powder or pill form. This will help out in many ways, colon health is very important. More than likely the bleeding as long as it is just a small amount is from it being hard and tearing the skin a bit.

Yikes that sounds painful. Okay, well I'm an RN student and this is what Iv'e learned so far about constipation.
You can drink a lot more water and juice, up your fiber intake. Also you need to walk or do some other physical activity to get your insides moving.
If that doesn't work, you can try a stool softener to make your stool easier and less painful to pass. (Colace or generic, available OTC) It is important for me to mention, Colace will not make you go, it will just make it easier when you go. If you go more than just a day or two without going to the bathroom you could have a fecal impaction. This is VERY bad. You need to go to the Hospital or Doctor is you cannot pass a stool for several days. If you go more than a day or two a lot of Doctors recommend Dulcolax suppositories; Not pleasant BUT better than having your stool removed by DR or Nurses finger. (Yes they do that it is called digital removal of stool-pretty common) Oh, and if you vomit up anything that looks like coffee grounds get to ER ASAP. Good Luck.

Try eating more fiber, or use a suppliment. Cut back on cheese and dairy, peanut butter and meats.

Drink plenty of water.

For almost immediate relief, try a stool softener. Exlax is a common brand, but there are others.

Blood could be from hemorrhoids, or a more serious condition. There are also OTC medications for hemorrhoids.

If this has been happening regularly, and doesn't clear up even after you use OTC meds for a few days, you should consult a doctor about it.

If there is bleeding you should see a doctor. If you are not ready to do that, I would try stool softeners in conjunction with at least 8 glasses of water a day. More fiber as in Metamucil fiber capsules and more water as in at least 64 oz. a day. Prunes and prune juice are natural laxatives.
You may have hemorrhoids or polyps some other medical problem so if this does not resolve itself by the simple methods you may get here then please see a doctor!

That is not normal get to a doctor right away! You should not have blood in your stools...... To have better bowel movements eat things with fiber such as oatmeal fruits etc also drink lots of water so they are not as hard to pass! Get the blood checked out!

I would seek medical attention immediately. Anytime there is blood it's not a good thing. Do you drink any water? Are you on meds? It could be a bad diet. But you need to see your doctor and see that it's not something more serious.

You most likely have hemroids. You should see a doctor to diagnose you, also I would suggest stool softeners. Good Luck!
