Not in most states, though there are some that do allow inmates limited access. The state of Illinois does not, at least not in Medium and Maximum facilities.

Sure and U can use "JAIL MAIL " too. Get real you are in jail for a wake up call....now on the other hand if U go to prison and are good they might let U use the Internet....Why I don't know but that's life.

prisoners are on the internet all the time we are assuming they cant be when in fact they are. they use computers to try and teach them a skill they can use when they get out of prison not regular jail.

Absolutely right, it depends on your status. It's well known that union boss Jimmy Hoffa had multiple phones in his cell to continue business. And if you've got the money and status, you can certainly get TV and Internet to continue your business. It's only miserable for the poor.
