The Bible does not seem very scientific read the following verses
1) According to the Bible, Book of Genesis,
chapter 1, verses 11-13,
Vegetation was created on the third day along with seed-bearing grasses, plants and trees; and further on as per verses 14-19, the sun was created on the fourth day. How is it scientifically possible for the vegetation to have appeared without the presence of the sun, as it has been stated in the Bible?
It also says light is created on the first day where as the source of light 'The Sun' is created on the fourth day. How is this scientifically possible?
If Bible is the word of Divine God He should not make mistakes while describing evolution. Check it yourself.
2)Measurement problem in the Bible according to
Kings 7:23 "He made a molten sea, ten cubits from the one brim to the other: it was round all about, and his height was five cubits: and a line of thirty cubits did compass it round about." Circumference = Pi() x Diameter, which means the line would have to have been over 31 cubits. In order for this to be rounding, it would have had to overstate the amount to ensure that the line did "compass it round about."
3) The Bible suggests the Earth is flat according to Matt 4:8: " Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them." Unless the world is flat, altitude simply will not help you see all the kingdoms of the earth.
The Holy Quran explains Science correctly
1) Chapter 27 Sura An Naml verse #88
"Thou seest the mountains and thinkest them firmly fixed: but they shall pass away as the clouds pass away: (such is) the artistry of Allah, who disposes of all things in perfect order: for he is well acquainted with all that ye do."
Mountains are formed from earthquakes and continental shift. They move but not as fast as clouds.
2) In the Holy Quran Sura Ambiya (Chapter 21) Ayaat# 32 it says
"And We have made the heaven (sky) a roof, safe and well guarded. Yet they turn away from its signs (i.e. sun, moon, winds, clouds, etc.). "
The sky is a roof this is an allegory not literal truth. The atmosphere in the sky does protect from meteor showers and ultra violet rays. In a literal sense the verse of the Quran is correct. Scientifically you can call the atmosphere or sky as a protection or barrier. Literally you can call it a roof.
3) The Holy Qur’an says, in Surah Furqan, (Chapter 25,) Ayaat# 53, that "It is Allah who has let free two bodies of following water - One sweet and , the other salt and bitter. Though they meet, they do not mix. Between them there is a barrier which is forbidden to be trespassed."
The barrier cannot be seen by naked eye but it can be proved by testing the salinity of the barrier from the fresh river water and from the salty sea water. This information has been discovered only recently, using advanced equipment to measure temperature, salinity, density, oxygen dissolubility, etc. The human eye cannot see the difference between the two seas that meet, rather the two seas appear to us as one homogeneous sea. Likewise, the human eye cannot see the division of water in estuaries into the three kinds: fresh water, salt water, and the partition (zone of separation).

I have given some Verses from the Quran and also from the Bible. I also discussed briefly whether scientific evidence is present in them or not. You decide which is more scientific.

I am sure science related many discoveries to the bible - it is a great book - i just don't know much about it
There were too many findings in science where great similarity was found with verses of the Quran
A few examples I remember right now are:
1- Fruits/Foods mentioned in Quran and their distinct benefit to the health of mankind
2- Descriptions of fetus development phases as mentioned in the Quran - science ended up phasing it the way the Quran did
3- Astronomy and planets/orbits nature was described in Quran
4- Quran prediction that Christians will live above all others in life - look at America and Europe - fairly doing better in standard of living than other places
5- Science lead our early ancestors to develop laws and enforce them to lead a civilized life, Quran is all about reward and punishment and the laws of leading a good life
and many more that I don't remember right now
To all the reader who may not like this, I am sorry that a bunch of killers hurt you and wore a religious mask.. Please read the Quran, you will find that it does not encourage on any thing bad but actually shares with the bible in motivating ordinary people into doing the good deeds and be just and fair and NOT hurt any innocent. Sorry guys that terrorists are pulling this mask on you to cause more havoc. Real Muslims don't hurt no body, and if they do, it is because the person has problem, lets not stick it to religions and God. Own up what you do. You live what you do anyway

Dear Remiyu, First of all i want to know why u want to know which one is best? just for curisity or else. One point is clear in Islam that there is a valid existance of Bible. Now the question is which Bible. The bible now available in the world is littlebit differ than the original, especially in the point of Jesus death. So I don't want to say which one is the best. I just want to say Quran can give more lattest/advance information rather that Bible. The reason is also simple. Quran came after Bible. And according to Islam Quran is made of complete life problem solution. But as a muslim i never should say Bible is not Good. The real point is is it the original or the changed one. regards Ubuntu

"1400 years ago before any medical capabilities to even guess something like such"? What are you talking about? All you need to figure out what's described in the passage you quoted is a knife and a few pregnant animals. You think nobody ever tried cutting up animals before? The fact that the fetus gestates inside the mother has been known for thousands of years.

there is no scientific evidence about the Quran or Bible but I do know that the Quran is complete and has never been altered from it's original language, but the Bible has been altered many times, into many different languages and uses many different translations, the Bible also has many books that were never included.

I don't believe science really has anything to do with it. But as long as supposedly intelligent people keep going on about alledged "talking snakes", the correctness of the Bible will remain an ongoing debate.

The writings of the Bible were completed about 100 C.E.
Muhammad was fond of both the Bible's and the Torah's teachings. 500 years after the completion of Biblical writings, He attempted to write something new resembling both other books, and came up with a message of hate, rather than love.

I think that you have to be just as critical of science as you are of anything else...there are PLENTY of cases of science turning on itself and proving it's previous claims false. So, with a very respectful heart I will say, maybe science should not be your guide to your faith choice. If you are searching for faith, you really have to look to faith. I think that God wants you to be honest with yourself in your beliefs, because in the end, that is how you are judged, right? But I will ABSOLUTELY encourage you to search, pray, and keep asking questions!

The Koran was written by a false prophet perhaps attacked by a demon in a cave. It has no correlation between love and allah in regards to humanity. And there are no prophesies. Better go with the Bible on this one.
