Ibraahim (may Allah bring peace and blessings upon him)is Abraham in Arabic and he was a prophet and the father of Islamic Monotheism which is the belief that nothing has the right to be worshipped in truth except Allah (Almighty God in English.)
Ibraahim was neither a Jew nor a Christian and he worshipped God Alone. He was a friend of Allaah.

Ibraahim's father was a big idol worshipper, and one day hhe broke up all the peoples idols. They asked him if he broke their idols to which Ibraahim replies 'Why don't you ask your God's who broke them.' To which the people said, 'You know our God's can't talk' to which Ibraahim said 'Well why do you worship them.' I love the story about Ibraahim. He was thrown in a big oven because of destroying the idols and Allaah sent an angel to protect him, he told the angel to go back because Allaah was sufficient for him and he did not need any other protection. Ibraahim was not harmed by the fire.

I'm not Muslim, I am Baha'i.

Muslims, Christians and Jews worship the same God.

I'm not sure why it's an issue for some people. It's a matter of language. Al-Lah translates to "The God" which is the same thing as "God" with a capital "G."

The Quran has many of the same stories that are in the Bible. Adam, Abraham, Noah, Moses, and Jesus are all there. Any one who reads the Quran can see that Allah, God, Jehovah, Yahweh, are one and the same.

It amazes me that we all worship the same God but all our religions clearly demonstrate that we all have a very different reverence of his expectations some verging on the absurd and barbaric. I realize we all have our extremists but any religion that oppresses does not seem right to me. I wish all religions in question could see eye to eye and find a happy medium.
