BOTH are superb cars...Attracrive AND Reliable, so you can't go wrong with either one!
It's REALLY a matter of WHICH car is better for YOU! The Acura probably DOES have a more luxurious interior..so, if that's what you're looking for, go for the TL.

currently the new model nissans are having some quality control issues. the tl is going to be a better long term vehicle. but mechanically (engine/transmission) nissan has always had one of the best powertrains, its just interior quality they have skimped on. the nissan is a larger car than the tl so keep that in mind depending on the space you need. both are good cars but the tl is overall a better vehicle.

I have a Nissan X 2006 First time ever purchsed this type of car and have had Honda, Toyotas and several American and Italian cars in my time.
I am really satisfied with this car and the dealer's mechanical staff.
I would recommend a Nissan to anyone without reservation

The Acura hands down! They are more luxurious looking than the plain Maxima and above all its an Acura...enough said!!

TL. Late model Maximas are a joke. Earlier model TLs are a joke also (the transmission and the EVAP Bypass Solenoid from the early 2000s).

Are you serious. Why would you even consider bying a Nissan when you could buy an Acura.
