YES, it is good for you!!! Use safflower oil and apply it directly to your skin... and you will see the benefits almost immediately. And please do NOT use olive oil unless you want to smell like a yucky salad :( It seems recently there's a huge rave about this but I've been using it for the longest time and I love the benefits.
You should be able to find safflower oil at your local grocery store... if you can't find it then just ask someone for assistance because in some store they have it separate from the other cooking oils.
One more thing... I don't think safflower oil has a smell to it but some people say it does, so if you think so too then just add a few drops of fragrance and that should do it. If you keep it in the fridge it also helps preserve it longer

The best oil for your skin is Olive Oil. You can reap the benefits by eating with it, or having a deep moisture treatment by applying directly to your skin. I've never heard safflower is good for your skin. Canola oil would be a choice for cooking, especially in higher temperatures, but I haven't heard of any benefit for the skin with Canola either. Olive Oil and Canola oil are both heart healthy. Safflower-not so much.

Both oils would be good for your skin. However, safflower oil comes from the safflower, and canola oil comes from rapeseed, two different plants.

Use olive oil instead. Otherwise you will have a sticky mess.
