You must see a doc., without much delay, and get a general check up done, even if the condition (numbness) may not be indicative of any serious problem!

Call your pmd and ask them if you shoud go to the ER.
As you are young you have toget this diagnosed as soon as possible. You may have to go to a big hospital ER with a neurologist and MRI scanner. The common differential diagnosis includes MS, Stroke and less likely tumor. If there is nothing on MRI of the brain then look in the cervical spine with contrast

It is most likely something benign, like a pinched nerve or something along those lines, but call your physician tomorrow to schedule a thorough exam and follow all of his/her recommendations for follow-up diagnosis and/or treatment. X-rays, MRI or the like may be in order. DO IT!!!!!

I would call my Doc and tell him what is going on. Let him/her decide what you should do.
If he is out of town, go to emergency. Better safe than sorry.

you can go to the ER now and the Resident on duty would examine you and eventually refer you to a doctor..
or
you should make an appointment with your doctor now.
