What is wrong with that?
China does not persecute christians, they just persecutes evangelistic christians that goes around literally forcing others to become one of them and condemn the communist government.
However, these evangelistic christians are also the ones who goes around complaining they are oppressed by governments and people everywhere, when they do not realised they are the ones that cause all the problem. They causes social unrest and then claim they are right because in the bible they are supposed to do so. When they were retaliated, they claim others were wrong because they refused to allow them to spread their propoganda.
Some examples are, the Chinese, the Sri Lanka, the Indians, the Vietnamese, the thais, greatly asian countries who are most atuned to eastern religions such as Hindus, Buddhism, Taoism.

Religious freedom exists in China. It is part of their laws.
Christian clergy who have visited China have come away with a completely different and positive attitude.
The stories of religious persecution in China is outdated.
The only religion that is banned in Falon Gong, because they were attempting to put in place a government that simply does not exist in China.
In short, as long as one is not trying to subvert the government or shove religious values down peoples throats, then religion in china is 100% free.
Also, a recent private study in China found that 1 in 3 people consider themselves religious, with only a small percentage considering themselves Christians. The vast majority are Buddhists.
