Two thirds of Christians in Britain do not think the Pope is a true Christian leader, according to a new poll.
I KNOW Francis is not. He contradicts the BIble almost every time he opens his mouth. He said a personal relationship with Jesus is dangerous. It is apparent he does not have one because he contradicts Jesus all the time. Jesus talks about merit and hard work and the material benefits of that. Jesus employers absolute rights. He also came down on the corrupt rich, especially the religious establishment which the pope is the definition of. The pope take failed atheistic socialist ideas which are absurd and never work. He acts holier than thou while presiding over the exceedingly corrupt Vatican. He does not view sinners as Christ did - HINT - Go and sin no more! He panders to homosexuals and baby killers and Islam. He fits right in with liberal democrat failed policies. No wonder Philly opened up its arms wide with unprecedented draconian measures. If Jesus had announced he was coming, Mayor Nutter would have barred the door unless he endorsed homosexuality. No, this Pope is a false prophet and I do not understand how any serious Catholic could give him the time of day.

Where in the Bible is a pope mentioned? The word "pope" comes from the Latin "pappas" which means "father." Didn't Jesus say to call no man "father" as a religious title? So how can the pope be Christian?

That is unfortunate. I believe the Pope is Christian and I think Catholicism for the amazing things it has done for the Christian faith. Yep, people who don't think the Pope is Christian really don't know their Christian history.

Most non-Catholic Christian denominations accept Catholics as Christians. A very few do not.

A dictionary would say that a Christian is someone professing belief in Jesus as Christ or following the religion based on the life and teachings of Jesus.

Catholics would fit this definition.

In the Nicene creed, from 325 A.D., Catholics profess:

We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, one in being with the Father.

Through Him all things were made.

For us and our salvation He came down from heaven: by the power of the Holy Spirit, He was born of the Virgin Mary, and became man.

For our sake He was crucified under Pontius Pilate; He suffered, died, and was buried.

On the third day He rose again in fulfillment of the scriptures: He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father.

He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end.

We accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. We are baptized as Jesus commanded in Matthew 28:19, "in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit."

We truly are spiritually "born again," we just don't usually use those words.

With love in Christ.

That would be like saying that the tooth fairy is not christian. What a line that would be. I do think that the pope is christian. He believes that he is better than everyone else, he is the most holier-than-thou, and he does more evil than even the christians in the U.S.

Christ seemed to think that the Apostle Simon was Christian, when He appointed him the first Pope, and gave him and his direct successors the keys to the kingdom. What Christ didn't do was approve the founding of any other churches than the one Church Simon was given authority over, the Catholic Church.

The pope is just another religious leader. You do not bow down to him. He is a sinner just like us, he is not righteous, not no one!
