I have not had a soda in a full year (not even ONE single sip) I don't drink sweet tea (I live in the South, so like everyone has sweet tea all the time), I have not had any chips/french fries/anything else that is fried in many months, and I am a vegetarian. I wash my face with acne clearing wash twice a day and wear very little bare minerals make up. Why do I break out?

what else should I cut out of my diet to make me healthier? I have very few desserts, so I don't have like any sugar.

There is absolutely no connection between eating certain foods, and having pimples. It's great that you have a healthy diet, but really the most important thing you can consume to keep your skin healthy is pure water. An average size adult needs 64 oz of water a day. The acne clearing wash you're using might actually be making things worse. Strong cleansers strip the skin of its natural barrier, which makes your skin more suseptable to the bacteria that cause pimples. It also makes your skin over-produce oil to try to replace what you're stripping away, which clogs pores and makes acne worse. I suggest switching to a more gentle cleanser. Cetaphil sensitive skin cleanser is a really great one, it cleans the skin without stripping away the natural barrier. You should also get a moisturizer formulated for oily/acne prone skin that contains salicylic acid as the active ingredient. This will help keep your pores clear, and moisturize your skin without feeling greasy. The last product you should get is a acne spot treatment with 2.5% Benzoyl Peroxide as the active ingredient, any more than that will over-dry and irritate your skin. You can use this directly on a pimple to dry it out and kill the acne bacteria that caused it. If you use these 3 products (all available at any drug store or wal-mart) once in the morning and once before bed your skin should start to clear up in a week or two. If you don't see any improvement after a few weeks it may be time to see a dermatologist. He/She can give you a prescription medication to treat your specific skin condition. Hope that helps. Good luck.

Actually soft drinks, sweets, and greasy foods do not cause acne, it has never been proven. Although poor nutrition will affect the bodies immune system and increase skin problems. Allergies to certain foods also can cause skin conditions other than acne, such as eczema. But the addition of small amounts of chocolate or any other food to an otherwise healthy diet will not cause pimples, let alone acne.
You may have oily skin, you should try an oil free facial cleanser. I use oil-free Clean& Clear, and I haven't broken out since.I started using it about a year ago. You can also get oil free facial lotions that work great. If you still continue to break out after trying these, you should probably go to a dermotologist and get your skin checked out, and get an acne medication. Good Luck!

1] use a facewash, toner if desired, sunscreen, and moisturizer for your skin type.
Wash, tone, and sunscreen in AM; and wash, tone, and moisturize in PM.
2] wash with a clean cloth, or just use your fingers.
3] use acne cream for breakouts
4] never go to bed with makeup on!
5] keep your hands/hair off your face!
6] use only non-comedogenic makeup [ doesn't clog pores, so doesn't cause pimples ]
7] eat a quality diet - lean protein, low fat dairy, whole grains, and lots of fruit and veggies
8] no fried, fast, or junk food - even diet junk food
9] drink 1/2 gallon of water a day
10] take a quality multivitamin with minerals every day.

seems like you're eating the right stuff and maintaining like the regular gals but maybe what you really haven't asked you're parents whether they had the same problem when they were you're age,the only thing i know is that if diet n practice isn't the cause then maybe you inherited it or you abnormal hormones that's causing to break out,try to consult a dermatologist too...goodluck!

Some people just have naturally oily skin. My sister got the dark hair and oily skin from my dads Mediterranean side, and it made her break out all the time. It might just be genetics.

It is hormonal. If you are female, you may find the timing relates to your menses.
Continue with your good daily skin care and limit or exclude makeup.
