I'm sure God doesn't want you to commit suicide if that were to make you happy.
So how do you know what God would approve of?

Actually, God wants you to be HOLY, not happy.

The process of becoming holy can actually make you miserable in the short run.

But if you succeed in becoming holy, then you will become more happy in the long run, because the old things that used to bother you will not matter so much to you anymore.

Sin can make you happy in the short run, and obeying God can make you unhappy in the short run. But becoming a better person eventually will make you happier, while the process of sinning can make you less happy sometime far in the future when the chickens come home to roosts, so to speak.

God designed you for a relationship. To commit suicide would go against the design. I am sure God also grieves when he hears the distressed soul who contemplates suicide. That is not happiness. It is a mask of hurt, pain, isolation, or something else.

Apparently god makes earthquakes and hurricanes and famine and disease to help make us happier, marital and relationship problems, infidelity and financial hardship, he gives some people lack of intelligence and makes others deformed, this makes them happy. He creates war so that sons and daughters can get killed in his name, because this makes him happy, god approves of shunning those who aren't of his religion and even killing them. Trying to make others believe what you believe, god doesn't want you to commit suicide even though if you truly believe there is a god maybe you should go find him

he wants you to have all the happieness in the world as long as they are under his authority there are ten commandments(but there are also more than ten these are just the foundational and most needfully to be followed) that are the rule of God as long as what you want to do is subject to God than its ok (and suicide is not)

I don't believe that our happiness is God's main objective, that's something we usually misunderstand in America. God's main objective to to be glorified in everything and through everything including us.

Glorifying God results in joy as Paul describes in Philippians, but Paul's life reflects a very difficult life. Beaten, shipwrecked, stoned, and utlimately killed.

I was told once "you know you're a believer when your good actions please and your bad actions displease you."

For a sincere believer, you come to a place where praising God, prayer, charity, and being good to your family makes you happy more than the empty things in this life.

Inshallah (God-willing) this will help you

Peace and blessings,
Sakina

God wants you to be happy but not too happy because he's jealous and if he sees that you're having more fun than he is he'll probably kill your pet turtle.
