John 17:3 says "This means everlasting life, taking in knowledge of you, the only true God and the one whom you sent forth Jesus Christ."
Here it clearly states that we must take in knowledge about God and his son Jesus. If we do not have the ACCURATE knowledge of God then it is pointless. This scripture also disproves the trinity.
For example, Saul was a persecuter of Christians. He was a lawyer and thought that what he was doing was right. He had knowledge of Judaism and thought Christians were a cult. He had such zeal and determintation cuz he thought he was right...but then Jesus told him that when he persecutes his followers it is like "touching his own eyeball". So then Saul came to accurate knowledge and realize his zeal was misplaced and became a Christian.
So accurate, true knowledge is very important. This affects our future.

Nothing wrong in believing in the trinity.
Old Hindus started it, believing in 3 Gods, Brahma, Whisynu and Syiwa( I am sorry if I spell it wrong) Chinese believe in so many Gods and a Goddess even, so were the Romans they have so many Gods whom they believed.
Nothing wrong with it. It is a private choice, very private even!
I can not answer whether it can affect anybody's salvation but for some people who don't accept the Trinity concept it is an issue because they find that the christians really go around try to convince them about the Trinity and how "everybody" should have the same faith. That is what create the issue, yet for the chistians it is more of an obligations or the best thing to do as Christans to get more and more people being christian.
The non believers of Trinity dont like those attitude because :
Their logic or faith can not understand and will not accept to have more than One God The Mercyful, The Gracious, The All Forgiving, The Allmighty, The Only ONE Who Own The Great Names(That is the muslims which is a monotheism) and of course people who can't see that there is a God at all (the atheists).
Although they dont believe in Trinity, I believe through this R&G they dont care about the trinity's believers to believe in trinity, they just say what they think .
Some of them just reject the trinity concept, some in polite ways some very sceptical and some maybe redicule the concept.
The atheists, some of them just simply have attitude : Dont want to be stupid and the muslims teachings just simply say " To you be your religion, and to me my religion".
" I shall not worship that which you are worshipping";" Nor will you worship that which I worship" .
In other word, it is your own business to worship whoever you want.
But sure in muslim's teaching there are warnings for not to make friends with the christians and dont put others than muslim's as your leader because they will try hard to make you believe what they believe; But if they (christians)leave you alone with your religion ( the monotheism) then you can make business or interract with them.
What ever said in the teaching in their Holy Book ( Qur'an), is not against to what the Christian's teaching. The Qur'an already said it some hundred years ago that the christians will always try to convert others to be christians.
So, nothing wrong with believing in the Trinity if you want/choose to do so.

True Christianity requires that we reject the Trinity doctrine as false, as an “invention” of sinful men. We should worship the Father as the only true God, and do so through his firstborn Son Jesus Christ, the One who occupies the first place among all of God’s intelligent creatures.—Col. 3:17.
At John 4:23, 24, Jesus said: "Nevertheless, the hour is coming, and it is now, when the true worshipers will worship the Father with spirit and truth, for, indeed, the Father is looking for suchlike ones to worship him. 24Â God is a Spirit, and those worshiping him must worship with spirit and truth.
There is no way you can worship the Father with spirit and TRUTH by believing a false doctrine like the trinity.
Search as you may, you will not find one scripture that uses the word Trinity, nor will you find any that says that Father, Son, and holy spirit are equal in all ways, such as in eternity, power, position, and wisdom. Not even a single scripture says that the Son is equal to the Father in those ways—and if there were such a scripture, it would establish not a Trinity but at most a “duality.” Nowhere does the Bible equate the holy spirit with the Father.

Misintepretation I reckon, the Trinity represents the 'physical' aspect of the masculine wheras Prayer represents the 'spiritual' aspect of the Feminine. Women create life and are closer to God then men, and the Trinity is to remind us of that balance. Islam is actually another lesson towards this but it was twisted 180 degrees away from Women.

Nothing what so ever. In fact the trinity is where it is at. The Father,Son, and Holy ghost. 1+ 1+ 1= 1And if you can accept this and profess before man that you believe then it really does add up to one

The Trinity may not be called that in Scripture, but is present everywhere, right from the start.
In the beginning, God (Father) created the heavens and earth... and the *Spirit* was moving over the waters... and God said, "Let there be light." (among other things... Remember, Jesus is the Word, and everything was created through Him, as it says in Colossians 1:16)

Everyone who glorifies the Father does so through the Son in the Holy Spirit; everyone who follows Christ does so because the Father draws him and the Spirit moves him.
nothing is wrong with believing in the Trinity, because the one true God has revealed himself to be a Trintiy througout the whole Bible.
Then God said, "Let US create man in OUR image..." Gen. 1:26

I'm an atheist, and you can believe whatever you want. I have absolutely no problems with that. Just don't expect me to believe it.
