When you are going under anesthesia they want you to have an empty stomach so if it makes you nauseous and you puke there won't be anything to come up.

Good luck!

Because they are going to use an anestetic on you and put you to sleep. If you haven't had anything to eat or drink, there isn't any chance that you will vomit. When you wake up, you can do both. This way you won't feel a thing when they are taking out the wisdom teeth.

If your doctor/dentist is going to give you any kind of anesthesia for this procedure(knock you out drug) than if you ate or drank a certain # of hours before they don't want you getting sick to your stomach and getting any fluid into your lungs if you should vomit while under the effects of anesthesia/But ask your dentist for perhaps a better explanation.

usually because you are put under sedation for wisdom tooth extraction. Like any surgical procedure they don't want food or drink in your stomach, you could vomit under sedation and inhale the vomit.
