I'm considering a breast augmentation. I'm about a small 'B' cup after having and breastfeedign both my kids. I just recently stopped breastfeeding my now 1 year old daughter and have one boob slightly bigger than the other. I want to fix the problem but also don't want to go to hell for it.

I don't think that plastic surgery is wrong in of itself, especially if it is to fix some deformity (like an non-symmetrical bust).

However, I honestly think that you will be happier in the long run if you simply live with it, and thus learn to be happy with yourself no matter what you look like. We all get less attractive as we get older, and I think that God does this in part so that we will gradually quit worrying about our physical appearance so much.

If you are really worried about this, please read Romans chapter 14. It is a good passage to read if you are worried about whether or not it is OK to do something that is not expressly mentioned in the Bible.

One truth that I got from this passage is that if you think something is a sin, and you do it anyway, then you HAVE sinned, because you had bad motives for what you did (It does not matter if you actually committed a sin or not; if you THINK that you are sinning, then you are sinning -- because of bad intent. Make sense?).

He's not a woman and he has no idea what it's like to have small breasts in a world where people are very judgmental on your breast size. Other women who have larger breasts or who even have breasts that aren't a cups have no idea what it's like to not have any breasts. Especially after child birth when your small boobs go from looking small to looking awful. I don't see anything wrong with getting implants if it helps you feel good about yourself. Don't feel guilty. It's okay to want to look and feel good. I know different people who have had implants. They aren't the stereotypical huge breasted bimbos that people think of when you mention implant. They look wonderful and their clothes fit them in the chest. Most of them are moms who lost their breasts. I'm all for it. I see what a difference it can make to someone and how much confidence it gives.

I wouldn't worry if it was wrong, I would talk to some people who had implants done and if they had any complications. You should study the facts first and you may decide on your own that it isn't worth it. Some women end up worse than they were before the implants.

My bet is it's not a heaven or hell decision. But, the Bible does talk about avoiding vanity which might be something to watch out for. I do understand, however, the kind of self confidence experienced by someone who has their physical appearance restored through plastic surgery.

Ask yourself the basic question "what is my motivation?" IF it is as simple as fixing the size problem for self esteem it does not seem so bad. If someone is pressuring you to do it, or you feel that you are doing it to get extra attention then the answer would be no.

God does want to see his children happy, and if it makes you happy go for it. I would also say keep it modest so the church folk are not getting their knickers in a bunch when they see you.

You will NOT go to hell because of it.

No! The bible does not say anything about getting breast implants. You can't go to hell for getting your boobs done. God wants us to be happy and if that makes you happy, go for it.

That's a tough one. In the Old Testament, the 11th Commandment is "Thou shalt not get fake boobies." But in the New Testament, Saint Peter is known to often have shouted, "Bring on the big ta-tas!"

Geez... By the sound of many R&S theists, Breasts are Biblically wrong. ... As a guy, there's been more than one like you... don't sweat it, no one cares (why should you?) FWIW.

There's nothing wrong in wanting to make yourself look better.

Remember when you die, your boobs rot with you. They're gone. Just don't indulge.
