Your Daddy was gay long before you were ever thought of so, no. Unfortunately, many men and women who are gay are not comfortable with who they are so they try to be what they believe society will accept. Many gay men and women get married and have children only to find out later that they can't keep pretending.
Try not to look on your Dad's being gay as something bad. He is who he is. It may be difficult for you and your Mom to understand but he has to be who he is in order to be the best he can be. He still loves you and the only thing different about him is who he chooses to be with. It's no different than if your parents got divorced for any other reason.
Continue to love your Dad and your Mom and in time you'll be able to accept that they will be much happier than when they were married. None of their relationship issues have anything to do with you being a girl or a boy or an only child or one of 20. It's about them finding themselves.

There is no relevance to your question. Neither of the facts assumed true had any merit to the other. Being a boy or girl has nothing to do with the path your "daddy" has taken.

I've never heard of people 'going gay' They are either gay or not, but sometimes well into adulthood before they "come out" and admit it to friends or family.
Him being gay has NOTHING to do with you sugar. Nothing at all. I'm sorry if you are hurt by it, but realize he is being who he is and he's still someone worth loving.

Why would you think that? It wouldn't matter if you are a boy or a girl, he probably still would have come out.

Not your fault remember that. Sounds like you need to talk to someone close like a aunt or mother. Who ever you feel most comfortable with. Good luck and god bless. mike

Whoa. That's a little too deep... I really don't think so, because it was their choice to be gay. Either that or your father is going through a phase where he needs to find himself for who he really is. I hope that helps!

You have absolutely nothing to do with your Daddy's sexuality. Neither does your gender...
He is what he is... but he still loves you I'm sure... (well, I hope so anyway!)
Chin up kid!

Hun, your father being gay has nothing to do with your gender. It's not because of anyone. He was born that way, and he most likely has struggled with denial his entire life. Be happy for him that he is finally being who he is.
