First off, is it necessary that you lose 10 pounds so quickly. Realize that if you are 10 pounds less and want to maintain that, it takes a life time of effort. Second, consider a diet not as a restriction of food but as what you actually eat on a daily basis. Make healthy choices.
Look at the foods you eat, what is nutritious and what is not. Drop the non nutritious foods (empty calories). This can be done easily: for instance if you stop drinking one soda a day you can remove 150 calories from your daily intake. As well you could try splenda and skim in your coffee (although half and half and real sugar are things i will never give up), lower your intake of alcoholic beverages and try to eat salads for lunch and dinner, if prepared right (with protein and a light dressing they can be filling and low in calories).
A pound of fat is equal to 3200 calories. So if you really want to lose 10 pounds you need to remove 32,000 calories from your body within the next 5 weeks. This can be accomplished by a healthy well balanced diet and exercise. a simple exercise is a brisk walk after work. If you want to speed things up do this before and after work. As well, try to work your body at work by contracting and releasing your muscles.
good luck

This is VERY easy, I can assure you that, I've lost 40 pounds in less 2 months.
The first thing I did was cutting back on food, by this I don't mean you should go on one of those strict diet that tells you you can only eat celeries, you should first know what's healthy and what not, use common knowledge, when you decide what you are going to eat, you should limit the amount that you eat, you can eat almost anything you like, cuz combine it with a right amount, you are already losing weight.
The second thing is you HAVE to excercise, I would suggest cardio workouts first, so they can get you warmed up and help build a little endurance, jump rope is the best thing to do, and then running is pretty good too, make sure you drink stuff like gatorade when doing these. After your cardio workouts, do some muscle training, this is pulling weights, push ups, sit ups, and what have you.
So to sum it up, you don't need some fancy stuff, just eat less (so you consume less fat and calories), eat right (put the healthy stuff in your body), then workout, it works pretty well.
No need to buy anything

okay, here i go again.....
theres a diet doctors give patients who need to loose a LOT of weight FAST before a surgery. (and its only breakfast)
in the morning, eat 2 strips of bacon, 1 egg (any way you want it) and a small cup of grapefruit juice (white or pink).
this will give your metabolism a major boost and reduce hunger bigtime.
also, wake up about 15 minutes earlier in the morning. why? because you need to exercie aerobically for 10 minutes. i know they say 30 minutes will burn fat, but 10 miunutes in the morning will get your metabolism burning and your energy up.
oh, and for the diet, do that breakfast thing for ten days then 2 days eat what you want, then do the diet for another ten days, and so forth. I'm sure you'll loose more than 10 with this diet, maybe 14.

1. eat five times a day (only one serving, don't have two bowls of mac & cheese just have one, so eat a good breakfast, snack two hrs later, eat a good lunch, snack two hours later, eat a good dinner, & when i mean snack 1 serving of trail mix or an apple or fruit. it will help if your meals have more veggies) DO NOT eat after 8 or 9 P.M.!
2. do 45 min. of cardio everyday, make it clockwork like taking a shower
3. get at least seven hours of sleep
4. try to have full bodily movement somehow at least every 15 min to an hour (if you have a desk job get up & walk)
5. have an energetic outlook on life
6. if u have more energy excercise more
7. stay very hydrated, stay away from cafeine
8. stay away from eating lard, oily foods & smoking
9. keep doing this for five weeks

Eat lots of fruits and greens. give up most carbs of theday and only eat carbs once daily. Drink a lot of skimmed milk and dont lose the proteins.
Also, work out heavily for about 30 minutes daily for the first week. Double it from the second week.

That's only 2 pounds a week, which can be done easily! I would say watch your portions and be a little more active than normal. Small changes will do it. Good luck!

1. Change your eating habits (i.e. start eating smaller portions of food) before if you ate a full plate of food try eating 2/3 of a plate instead.
2.
o Substitute aspartame for sugar
o Try eating 3 or 4 smaller meals during the day rather than 2 large ones
o Eat your main large meal at midday with the other meals much smaller in content
o Don't eat heavy meals late in the evening as the body wont have time to digest it so it ends up stored as fat in your body.
o Balance your meals out during the day so in one day you have a mix of protein, carbohydrate and vitamins
o Drink lots of water during the day and before, during and after exercise, you should drink at least 8 big glasses of water per 24 hours
o Drink alcohol in moderation
o Stop smoking if you smoke or cut down
o Eat more fibre i.e. pulses grains nuts, pasta, brown rice, cereals, fresh fruit
o Eat more vegetables as part of your diet
o Eat less dairy products or choose those with less fat content i.e. cottage cheese
o Try steaming or poaching food instead of frying it, frying adds calories by the bucketful
o Cut down on Red meat and eat more lean or better still chicken and fish instead
o Use low fat oils in cooking i.e. sunflower, corn or Mazola
o Cut down on your salt intake, there are hidden salts even in tinned foods
o Try substituting carrots or fresh fruit instead of biscuits and sweetmeat when you have a craving for something in between meals.
o Drink semi or skimmed milk as opposed to full cream
Simply choose a diet which is low in fat and cholesterol, moderate in sugar and salt and high in fibre but at the same time has a variety of everything thus making it a balanced diet.
Calculate your BMR!!!!
BMR means Basal Metabolic Rate.It is used to estimate how many calories you should consume.By using a simple formula called the Harris-Benedict principle, you can assess your BMR.
Your BMR is the amount of energy your body needs to function. Then, to lose weight, you'll need to cut calories or burn extra calories and shoot for a level lower than the results you get with this formula.
We use about 60 percent of the calories we consume each day for basic bodily functions such as breathing.Other factors that influence your BMR are height, weight, age and sex.
Step One : Calculate your BMR with the following formula:
• Women: BMR = 655 + (4.35 x weight in pounds) + (4.7 x height in inches) - (4.7 x age in years)
• Men: BMR = 66 + (6.23 x weight in pounds) + (12.7 x height in inches) - (6.8 x age in years)
Step two : In order to incorporate activity into your daily caloric needs, do the following calculation:
• If you are sedentary : BMR x 1.2
• If you are lightly active: BMR x 1.375
• If you are moderately active (You exercise most days a week.): BMR x 1.55
• If you are very active (You exercise daily.): BMR x 1.725
• If you are extra active (You do hard labor or are in athletic training.): BMR x 1.9
Create a Calorie Deficit:
In order to lose weight, you must create a calorie deficit. It is easier and healthier to cut back your calorie intake a little bit at a time.
Every 3,500 calories is equivalent to 1 pound.
If you cut back 500 calories a day, you will lose 1 pound per week.
If you exercise to burn off 500 calories a day you will also lose 1 pound per week.
Ideally, you should do a combination of both, (e.g. cut back 250 calories; burn an extra 250 calories).
