Ummmm ... yes, of course it is! It is 'wrong' to act in this way towards ANY person, and especially towards someone who has provided for you and cared for you.

It is not only disrespectful to your Mum but it harms YOU ~ by acting with violence, you diminish your own human dignity and self worth.

If you are angry with your mother, the adult thing to do is walk away and plan for an independent life.

Good luck with this !

Edited to add: As you are a grown woman it is even more important to your own feelings of self esteem and worth to not act this way towards your mother. For your own sake, leave the house and go for a good, brisk walk when you feel this way. Your mother could have you charged with assault!

Please do not allow yourself to be manipulated into this very negative type of behaviour. There are family counselling services who can help you deal with your mother's behaviour, don't fall into the trap of thinking you are all alone :-)

Actually, it is wrong. Sorry. She's your mother and deserves your respect even if you don't like what she's saying. If what she says is not something you can take hearing, either talk it out with her or leave until you cool down.

And besides it being wrong....it's also illegal. Push your mother too far and you will do jail time. No one puts up with that kind of abuse forever. If you can, think of how you would feel if you were the parent and it was YOUR child smacking you around. It might illuminate the situation for you.

Yes, you should always respect your parents. If she is verbally (or in any way) abusing you, you need to get help for yourself and your mother by talking to a school counselor, your teacher, pastor, or an adult you can trust, but never disrespect her. That will only make the situation worse.

Your obviously a teen. You've got a problem with your mental growth. To have these fellings is quite normal in the teen years is normal but to act on them is just as if your some kind of rabid wild animal. You should be ashamed of your self. You should honor her. You need to apologize and try to fix it. You have just destroyed a part of her bond with you and that you will never get back. Your relationship will never be the same.

It's not an ideal thing to do, but I guess it depends on the situation and what she is saying, if shes just trying to provoke you into a rage then yes, but otherwise I would say no.

Yes it is wrong. She is your mother, she gave birth to you and she is the adult trying to teach you the right way of life. It just gulls me to see kids talking back to their parents or in your case slapping your mom.

Yes it is absolutely wrong. It is wrong to do that to anyone and doubly wrong to do it to your mom. Would it make you feel good? Powerful? In control? Would it give you pleasure to harm another person? This is just plain sick.

Beyond wrong....
It is a Mother's job to try to instill what she has in her children.....and if someone listened they might hear something important....
Peace.
