The Blessed Virgin is important. And you're correct, The mother of the King is chosen as Queen. Therefore, The Holy Trinity made The Blessed Virgin, Queen of Heaven!

St. Luke was dead and rotting decades before his Gospel was written. In fact, nobody knows who wrote the novel Gospel of Luke, although it seems to be the same person who wrote the novel Acts of the Apostles.
The Annunciation and the Nativity were *theologically* important to the writer of the Gospel and his community of believers. Whether they considered the story to be historical fact or allegorical myth is unknown. However, it *is* known that the story is incompatible with history; Herod the Great died nearly a decade *before* the census, and the census most definitely did not require anybody to travel.
The story of Jesus's incarnation became increasingly embellished as time went on. Luke is moe detailed that the earlier Matthew, although he doesn't include the flight to Egypt. Both books were composed independently from the same sources, one of which was the Gospel of Mark. Mark knows nothing of Jesus's birth. The story of the virginal conception seems to have developed, under the influence of Greco-Roman mythology, in the 20 or so years betwwen the writing of Mark and that of Matthew.

Mary was important for the birth of Jesus, but it was her cousin Elisabeth and the Angel who said she would be blessed. Jesus never confirmed that his mother was blessed. To the contrary Jesus said " these are my brothers, sisters and mother, they that hear the Word and DO IT.
The telling of the generations of Mary was to establish two witnesses that 42 generations ( 6 days, 6 seasons) had past and this was Daniel Prophecy of 200300 days (LORD's day) and the 100290 days after the LORD's day would the Time of the Jews be fulfilled.
Jesus did commemorate Mary the woman who anointed him in the hour of his death, he said make a memorial to her, that what she had done should be preached with his Gospel.

There are many close to Jesus--the Catholic church holds Mary in Higher Esteem. Other Christian religions do not exalt Mary that highly. She was favored by God--When the veil of the temple was rent in the midst we had one mediator between God and Man
Luke(a synoptic gospel) give the Linage of Jesus and Goes back to Adam. Matthew shows the linage Through the tribe of Judah(His earthly mother and Joseph) The linage to Adam was showing the Savior of all mankind. God's gift to humanity
Remember the HailMary beginning is found it the book of Luke. Lk.1:42

well said. the early reformers maintained the position of catholics regarding the blessed mother, i can't fathom why protestants hold such contempt for the blessed mother today. alot of it stems from the misconceptions and lies that are so rampant amongst non catholics. sadly instead of turning to catholic sources to atleast understand the catholic position many turn to nonsense like the chick tracts and other anti catholic sources. i read on www.catholiceducation.org somewhere that the focus of protestants when drawing people into their church the key often used is showing them why not to be catholic, even though they don't know what being catholic is. this came from an ex protestant minister that converted and brought a good number of his old church with him, forget his name sorry. even if you don't agree with all the catholic teachings regarding mary why make yo' momma jokes or belittle her in any way? beyond me. liked the question, keep em coming hopefully you will reach many.

I think that Mary should be called "blessed" just for being a Mum of anybody. Compare Proverbs 30:11-14 about those who don't bless their Mum.
11 "There are those who curse their fathers
and do not bless their mothers;
12 those who are pure in their own eyes
and yet are not cleansed of their filth;
13 those whose eyes are ever so haughty,
whose glances are so disdainful;
14 those whose teeth are swords
and whose jaws are set with knives
to devour the poor from the earth
and the needy from among humankind.
Mothers in the Bible are not so much called on to play with their kids. (Neither are fathers.) They don't have to reassure their kids that they love them. The kids will decide that for themselves anyway. They are supposed to be watchful over their household. Proverbs 31:26, 27 says: "She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue. She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness." The word translated "busy at home" in Titus 2:5 - "oikouros" or "oikourgos" means "caring for the house, working at home, the (watch or) keeper of the house, keeping at home and taking care of household affairs, a domestic" and derives from the word for house and "ouros" (a guard, be "ware").

She played an honored roll in the coming of God's salvation for mankind. Nothing more. To deify the mother of Jesus is blasphemy. She eventually died because she was flawed (sin is a flaw) as the rest of us. Like Abraham, Moses, Noah , David and the other honered prophets, she is sleeping in the grave (hell), awaiting her reserrection to life, once again. ( Ezek. 18:4; Eccl. 3:19; Eccl. 9:5, 10; John11: 11-14; Isa. 43: 11)

Everything Mary does is for her Son, Jesus. All prayers we pray to her she directs to Jesus because as the Mother of the King, she would have been the one to sit on a throne at his right hand. The King would answer any of her requests that she made. In fact, at her arrival in the throne room HE would have gotten OFF his thone and bowed before her to do her homage.

God has no (pagan) mother.
The OT and NT would mention (many places) prophesies of "mother god".
She was a young virgin Jewish woman (chosen to have the Messiah).
Jesus is the Son of God The Father (mentioned many times).
The messiah is mentioned many times in the OT and NT.Mary is only mentioned a small number of times in the NT.Jesus rebuked her and (only a man Joesph) for not understanding that He had to be about His Father's work.
He rebuked Mary for wanting Him to do something miraculous at the marriage (He performed a miracle).
Jesus (and no one else) has seen His Father.
Please search the scriptures and see if even one calls her mother of god.
