Oh, I do believe dogs have emotions and feelings! I love dogs. My dog is so cute! I read an article on the web the other day that stated that dogs do not have feelings. Just wanted to see what everyone else thought.

Yes. Why do people think that animals do not? Dogs in particular are very emotional and relate to humans greatly. We're not so different. They become depresses or feel lonely and bored; they'll tell you too by seeming lazy or chewing or urinating on your shoes. They can be excited and happy to see you or anxious to see you go. They are much like children to that fact. Dogs, and animals in general, are very beautiful and loving creatures who show both affection and aggression and many let you know how they're feeling and attempt to point out why. I know a dog who is envious, another who is bored, another who get lonely and tries to grab attention, and others who show that they want your attention or feel that you need to reconnect through physical touch. Each dog has a unique personality.

Hi! I was upset the other day about a problem with my brother who is an alchoholic. I was crying--my Brussels Griffon, Dickens, stayed very close to me and at one point got in my lap and licked the tears from my face. Do dogs have feelings, emotions? YES! They do! I had a bad dream about our grandson and in the middle of the night, Dickens was right there, awake before I was and ready to comfort me. Just as people do, our dogs are ready to love and comfort us whenever we need them. Anyone who thinks that dogs don't have feelings and emotions has never loved a dog. Blessings, Kat

A dog does have feelings. If people say that we ( humans ) are the only things that have feelings, they're wrong. Humans are animals. That states that all animals have emotions and feelings. Don't believe everything your hear or read.

Oh yes. I do not understand people who think differently. They may not feel emotions as we feel them, exactly, but look into a dogs eyes and say that they have no emotions!

Absolutely. Dogs show excitement, happiness, sadness and even seperation anxiety! They may not have emotions as deep as we do, but they have them nonetheless. How many times has your dog wagged its tail in excitement bc it was getting a treat? Or how many times did it jump up, run around, and act nuts bc it saw you? Or whimper when it looks at the kids playing through the window? Dogs love their owners and show emotion towards them and others.
Whoever said dogs don't show emotions...obviously doesn't own one.

Whoever wrote that article must've been idiots. You look at any dog, at any moment in time, and you can tell they have emotions and feelings. If they have no emotions and feelings, then they might as well be a venus fly trap.

I do. When we have to leave the house and can't take our dogs with us, they sit there by the door with the saddest look on their faces. It breaks your heart. They are also very happy to see us when we get home. If my husband or I speak sharply to them, they get the most guilty looks on their faces. So yes, I do think dogs have feelings and emotions.
