There are over 100 sects of Christianity. Most of these sects disagree on one thing or another. One of the few things that all the sects have in common, is that they all agree that the Bible was, in some way, inspired by God.

But if it was, then why are there so many sects?

Why should a text that a perfect, inerrant diety inspired be so vague, that there are so many opinions on basic ideas of scripture?

God's Child- But why would God send a message that could be open to so many interpretations? I mean, I can understand minor quibbles whne it comes to scripture, but when you have one sect that thinks that man does have free will and one that says that they don't, and both use scripture, then the Bible is at fault for being inconsistent.

mianjo413- I may just be dumb, but I don't understand what you mean. Are you saying that we shouldn't interpret what the Bible is saying? But then God is still responsible, considering that he shouldn't have left things open for interpretation.

Millie- Then God should not have allowed his inerrant word to be put into the hands of people who would corrupt it due to money and power.

Because people are human and everyone read and interprets it in their own way. It is the same as two or more people witnessing an accident and each one telling a different version of what they say because each person sees it from their point of view and one person might catch something that someone else doesn't.

To admit the bible was not God inspired would mean it was just a man's construct which happens to be true anyway you slice it.

The reason why there are so many sects of Christianity many Theologians still look at Christianity from a faith perspective.

The book of revelations was never meant for the early Christian to understand. It was written for Christians that live in the technological age of Aquarius. If you look at the end times from a faith point of view it will never make sense to you. You must look view the Book of Revelations from a scientific point of view to fully understand it's references.

By the way Astrology is a very big part of the bible but the people was miss lead to think the study of the stars was evil. If you doubt what I say look up the work of Jordan Maxwell and Zecharia Sitchin. There are many modern prophets that is here to guide the Christian but they are being ignored because the modern Christian is still thinking like a primitive Christian is why they will be miss lead.

I have seven (7) versions of the Bible. Five (5) say the same. One, the Catholic version has some books considered aprocryphas by the other Christian religions. Another one, the "New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures" from the Watchtower Society (Jehovah Witnesses) is different in some points because they translated and designed it according to their very peculiar beliefs.

Some say it's about interpretation, but the truth is that it's about money and power.

that's genuine that the Bible is the a million and basically be conscious of God. the clarification why there are such a lot of religions is by using the fact they have been inspired by technique of guy and not by technique of God. Christianity isn't a faith with the aid of fact that's a courting with Jesus. faith is a chain of issues or steps that folk carry on with to realize specific objectives consisting of salvation, etc. God hates all faith. whilst going to church is extremely cautioned, relatively for becoming interior the Christian faith, even though it does no longer something for salvation or the rest.

Mankind’s own arrogance and manmade doctrine that has messed up many things in Christianity but this division can be seen as a good thing because the doctrines can bring people together because of their personal beliefs like dress code.

God however is perfect and his word is absolute.

Many of the people (not all) are trying to be the creator instead of the created, and the inspirationalist instead of the inspired, they lose sight of what is important which is the message. The Bible is taken out of context by many people wanting to create their own version of it.

The Bible doesn't have a religion. It owns nothing. All of these 'religions' only honor it by their own say-so's.

The Deity may not be obedient to your ideas of Order, but His Own. That there are so many opinions is perhaps the Intent?
Should we conclude that your own intention is more 'sensible', when you're only a silly little fellow? Yes, let us all mock, mock, mock .

Wasn't that good?

I agree with you, bible is vague and totally absurd.

So when you don't have a damn shred of evidence supporting 4000 year old book, you are bound to commit atrocities and major disagreements.
