My father left my mother and me and my brother when I was 3 years old. I am now 15 years old and I want to find him. I have looked online and everything I find that will help you search makes you pay. I want to find him so bad. My mom knows I am looking for him and told me he ran off to Arizona but I don't find him there. Could someone help me please?

I am also in a similar situation except I nor my parents know either of my biological parents nor their names.

My suggestion is to go to www.privateeye.com. If you know his name and birthdate, you can probably find him. It's a free site. Check it out.

I also suggest you try using people called search angels. They usually just help adopted people find their families, but they may be willing to help you. They are called angels, because they don't charge. You can find them by doing a Google search and typing in search angels. They should give you a site where you can click on your state and find the seach angel in your area.

I wish you luck. I know how it is to want to find someone.

My father isn't my biological father. My mother told me when I was 18. I was an emotional wreak for a minute but I didn't get along with my father at the time so it went away quickly. But no I didn't love my father less and now over ten years later I love him more than ever and am very protective over him. I never did try to find my biological father, sometimes I think about it but then I just keep putting it off. I have a father and I don't feel that I'm missing out on having one, so why try to find a man I don't know. Now I think my mother did the right thing and waited until I was 18. But yes you should tell him, one day but not any time soon. I'm also on the other end. One of my children don't belong to my husband and I've decided to wait like my mother did and tell him when he is 18. Good luck! Don't stress over it. You are the real father. It's not who made you it's who was there for you.

How Do I Find My Biological Father?

For free and for starters, I guess I would go to whitepages dot com and do a search for his first and last name--anywhere in the US.

If that isn't enough, then try just his last name.

I'm hoping some listings come up. Once you are at the listing, there's a search engine link at the bottom of the page--people search or something. And while that is a pay thing, before they even ask for a cent, they give you matches for that name, age and city or state.

You match up the age--your mom would know his age.

Go from there. Then look again in phone book, or do on-line search with his name and city, in case there was a news article about him. Remember to look at the photos link too. You may find someone with his name bearing a family resemblance. Then talk to your mom.

I've found old friends with these techniques.

Do you have uncles or aunts form your father's side? A grandma? Maybe they would help you out--with your Mom's permission.

Good luck.

I'm 53 and just found out the man I thought was my father is not. My mother said their was a blood test done at the hospital but she can't remember the man who is my biological father's name (she has old timers). The hospital only carries records for 10 years. Is there anything I'm going to be able to do to track down my real father so I can trace by health line

You're going to have to pay, but it isn't much. Intellius is only about $8 for a one-time people search. It worked for me.
