Can i sell my empty bullet casings and if i can how much can i get for them?

Depends on what caliber and type of cases but, yes you can.

Rimfires are junk, scrap metal at most. Same for steel and aluminum cases. Also if you have military brass with crimped in primers, they usually go for less since the relaoder will have to do a few more steps in order to reprime the brass.

Centerfire pistol and rifle brass sells all the time on eBay. Go check out what people are selling them for on eBay, and go from there.

You will get more if you can sort them by caliber and headstamp though.
If you have the time and desire, sort them out, count them, bag them up and sell them. If you have a bunch of them, it may be worth your time, but for only a few hundred, it's really not worth it.

I reload mine, so it makes the time spent cleaning, sorting and prepping worth the money saved, compared to purchasing new ammo.

Once fired brass are used alot for reloading. Selling them is ok if you have no intention of reloading. If you can take them direct to a gun ship without a long drive they might give you a rate per pound but it wont be alot. Possibly 40 bucks per thousand empties, If you have to ship them, forget it. The cost would leave you mostly nothing. Consider selling them to someone you may know that reloads or start re-loading yourself.

New unfired brass will cost about $12-$15 per 100 casings. Plus you will pay some in shipping unless you buy them new from a store locally.

I'd opt for learning to re-load. Re-loaders are the original re-cyclers. Good luck

Empty pistol brass is not very expensive at all. If there is a Cabela's, Bass Pro Shops, or other outdoor store near you, they sell bags of 100 for $10-$20.

Yes, you can sell them but you won't get much. You should get a reloading set and use your empty cases. It will save you lots of money in the long run and you can make better ammo than they sell in stores. I've been reloading almost 30 years and don't use factory ammo in any of my center fire rifles and pistols.

You can, price depends on cartridge type. some rounds are worth more than others and you generally need a lot to make any kind of decent money and they should generally be deprimed/sized and cleaned.

for example purposes after a quick search I found 500 rounds of .45 ACP brass for $21

Oh, and they have to be centerfire as you cant reload rimfire, the most you can get for rimfire is scrap.

With as many businesses that are dealing in new and once-fired brass today, you would be better off joining your local gun club, if you are not already a member, and getting some other members to help teach you to reload your own, as most reloaders I know (including myself, with over 35+ years experience) won't reload other shooters' used brass, even if they got it free.

If you polish them, deprime, and resize, you might get twenty cents apiece for popular calibers of rifle brass if they're from the same lot and uniform in weight. If you've done all that, you might as well just reload them yourself. Just dirty miscellaneous brass isn't worth anywhere close to that.
