I do alot of cardio. My main source of cardio comes from cycling. I cycle anywhere from 10-40 miles per day. With all of the cycling my legs, hips, and arms have all toned up and take shape. My problem now is this spare tire that sits around my waist. I currently do 50 crunches a day. I can tell that my ab muscles are starting to strengthen but the fat is not coming off of my belly. As far as diet is concerned I eat probably 60% healthy and 40% junk now. Which is the complete opposite of what I was eating 2 months ago.

Besides doing 50 crunches do 100. Do it twice a day, it really helps. One in the morning before breakfast and one before you go to bed. Keep doing Cardio and keep eating right. Do some more abdominal work outs, you'll loose that fat in no time. Good luck! : )

Your biggest problem is diet. With that much cardio, you should be getting thinner, so the only thing holding you back is eating. Whittle down your junk from 40% to less than 10% and you will lose the belly fat over time as long as you keep up your cardio. Get rid of all the processed sugar and flour that you can and eat 100% whole grain bread, etc. White flour is evil.

I have read, and it makes sense, that carbonation, stress, and now, a preservative used by Coke and Pepsi puts fat onto the area you are talking about.
I have noticed that even very slim young girls have a spare tire. That was pretty much never seen when I was younger. I know we are all drinking more colas and eating junk foods.
My spare tire is much the same as most young girls/women and I know it would go away if I would give up my Pepsi.
