My living room has taupe and opens into my dining room which has denim blue walls. My living room furniture is big overstuffed denim with black media/shelves/accents and white curtains. Then there is the overwhelming Simpsons collection that is all over the place...that's not me. Anyways, I just put copper slate tile down in the entryway so the sunshine yellow had to go. But, I can't decide on a new color...any suggestions?

My suggestion would be a shade lighter than the taupe in your living room.
Using too many colours will make a place seem chopped up and irritating to the viewer.

Place the Simpsons collection in another location.

I think simple is best. Houses are most effective when they flow and each room complements the others. Therefore I would probably stay with the taupe and maybe bring in the denim blue in some funky painted canvases in a line on the wall.

If the entry is open and not closed in, then pick up with the taupe or a few shades off. If there is not alot of light in the entry, I would go with a few shades lighter!!

Best wishes and good luck.

1] try a neutral [ ivory, cream ] with accents of color from LR and DR
2] paint it taupe with a little denim blue
3] paint it denim blue with a little taupe
4] peach [ looks great with copper ] with color accents from other rooms

what about coffee or cream? Something that would compliment the denim and the white. I love the new shades of browns and they would go well with copper

Since you seem fond of bright color, have you considered turquoise? It would look good with all the colors you've mentioned and keep things fresh.
