Sadly, I honestly don't think there's anything you can do to shrink the size of your pores any more than you can shrink the size of your head. It's a physical attribute, and they are not muscles, so you can't work them out.
I also have pretty large pores in several areas on my face, including my nose and cheeks. I saw a dermotologist, she put me on a combination of Retin-A mixed with LaRoche-Posay oil-free moisturizer at night, and Benzyclin with the same moisturizer during the day.
If you try this regime (you'll need a derm., the creams are prescription only), you will probably see some peeling after a few days or a weeks' worth of Retin-A. The moisturizer really helps though. Once I get through my initial peel, I cut back to every other night or so on the Retin-A, and I can't put it on the tip of my nose, as it peels too easily.
The Retin-A helps your skin shed without clogging your pores. The Benzyclin is like a disinfectant of sorts to fight bacteria during the day.
During the day, under my makeup, I use Dr. Brandt's Poreless (Pore no More) product. You can probably get free samples at Sephora - that's what I did. The girl working there had skin like me and gave me some, and warned me that I'd probably love her for showing me this product and hate her for starting a new addiction! Sure enough, it's fabulous stuff. I haven't bought the bottle yet, I'm sure it's spendy, but it is Fab U Lous. It's kind of like SmashBox's makeup primer, but it's flesh-toned. It feels almost greasy going on, although it isn't...it actually works throughout the day to mattify your skin under your makeup. And your pores really do look smaller.
On top of Dr. Brandt's Poreless, I use Bare Minerals makeup. None of it irritates my skin, and it gives great coverage without feeling like a mask.

Hi Classy, no you could try a hundred other products, but cleaning your pores twice a day is it. It's not possible to shrink the size of pores, despite what you will hear all over and in every commercial. Our genes determine what size our pores will be. Washing them and using moisturizer keeps the dirt out and prevents blackheads from making the pores looking even larger.

try this! :
1. plug sink and fill with hot water (for steam) as much as possible
2. Make sure to tie hair so it doesnt get in your face
3. Put towel over head(so steam doesnt escape) and get 4-7 inches away from hot water.
4. wait for 8-10 minutes....
5. remove towel and use a Black head remover... if you dont know what they are go here:
http://www.ulta.com/control/product/~product_id=1901091
6. Wash face with cold water
The steam should loosen up the dirt and blackhead so that it is easier to remove :D
BTW WHATEVER YOU DO DONT TRY PORE STRIPS!!! they damage the pores :O

i saw on the Rachael Ray show that you can mix oatmeal with honey to make your pores tight- any of these can really help your skin because they're natural--- separating an egg and applying the whites on your face helps close pores so bacteria won't get in, cutting a cucumber (in half or a quarter, make sure you have a flat surface) and rubbing it on your face this also helps your face, honey alone, or a big pail of ice cold water after you take a shower so it'll keep your face nice and tight and close all of you pores! hope these help!! good luck!!! ♥!!

I use to have the same too. But you can boil some hot water or take a hot shower so your face can suck the steam up and helps reduce the pore. I learn that trick from an old stylist.
You can also wash your face with cold water after the steaming.

you should go to get a facial treatment at least once a month to clean everything on your face...some ppl choose to do it at home bec it's cheaper. i personally think that its worth the $$$ bec they hv the tools that we don't or can't afford to buy for home use. after they clean your face, they also know how to help you tighten your pores and also put a mask on you which will help you alot. different ppl have different needs with different skin issues. they are more professional to deal with this.
if you really choose to do it yourself, make sure you do clean all pores. use toner to tighten your pores at leat twice a day before putting on mosturizer
