Ok, If your peacocks are free roaming buggers, like my girl is... they can be a pain to catch. Best bet is to get a big cage ready..

I catch mine by cornering her in a shed. Me and my son will work together to herd her into the shed, then we grab her.

If you don't have a shed, put some food in a large cage and wait. If you don't feed them, and put some good grain in a cage, they'll go for it. Then shut them up.

If you have a shed to corner them in, it's quicker, but you have to grab them carefully, and you'll need someone to help you herd the bird into the shed and open the cage once you've got the bird. Put on thick gloves, then jump the peacock. Push down on the wings with one hand (not too hard) while wrapping your forarm around the chest. Pull the bird up so that the wings are against your chest and your arm is around the bird, just above the legs. Use your other hand (the one that held the wings earlier) to grasp the birds head so that your hand is covering the eyes. Wrap your fingers around, but don't squeeze or use pressure. You don't want the bird to peck you. Really. But you don't want to injure it.

If you do it right, your arm will keep the bird against your body and will be against the birds thigh joint so that it can't claw you. If it's not done properly, that's why you've got gloves on.

Safest way is to bait a cage. Quickest is to corner it and grab it.

How To Catch Peacocks

You could try using the sheet, throw it over him and then pick him up how you would pick up a chicken, (Hold the wings down firmly against the body). You'll have to be quick... Peacocks like pecking around at things on the floor, so maybe if you try scattering some kind of food around for him, then throw the sheet on him when he's distracted.

Lol. First you ask him if he really wants a peacock or is he just saying he wants peacocks.
Next find a peacock farmer. You do not want to steal someone elses peacocks. Start them to live in your fathers place when they are little, then they are used to their territory. Also, the breeder brings them to you and replaces them if they died or got run over.
Third, these birds put up a fight. If you really want to steals the neighbors peacocks, good luck and hope no one catches you or recognizes their colorig . Peacock feathers are very distinct.

Ha ha ha.. this question is funny to me because I have peacocks... but they were not mine to begin with... Our landlady had them here and she is selling the place now and has moved, so now they are ours for the time being. I live in Oklahoma and i dont think it's illegal here to have them, cause i always see ppl trying to sell them at flea markets. But anyways to answer your question, its hard to catch them. Someone tried to catch ours, we had 4, and he caught the youngest with a large fish net. The others he hasnt been able to catch. But I was also told that if you can get near them, to use panty hose to put over their body if u can get close to them. Other than that I dont know. I still have 3 if anyone wants them...lol... the males are beautiful but so annoying when mating. :)

i dont understand why so many people are assuming youre going to be stealing these birds. if you are, then dont do it. buy some.
if these are your birds, which is what im assuming, the best way to do it is to wait for them to roost and throw a large blanket over each of them, transport them to a cage/large box.

There's a really good chance that's illegal. I wouldn't attempt it.
