Uggh my sister just did it even though I told her not to and now I'm all worried b/c I know those two explode when they come together.... I'm hoping they are each neutralized by the acids in saliva but I don't really know

Not dangerous.

They don't "explode" when they are mixed, the coating on the Mentos simply causes the bubbles in the soda to release very rapidly.

The only way it could be dangerous to put both in your mouth at the same time is if the strange feeling of so many sudden bubbles causes the person to react in such a way (getting startled) that they accidently start to choke on the mentos.

I would think you would have to swallow them whole and chug the coke real fast to get the reaction you are expecting.

Has she exploded yet???? No? !?!?! Don't worry about it.
