The bible does metion them. It only calls it a behemoth (Job 40:15-24) so you can make of what ever you want. The bible can not explain everything. You make what you think it is saying.

The first dinosaurs were discovered in China around the 1600's and that is when the name came about. You won't find the word DINOSAUR in the bible but you will find tanniyn which from Hebrew to English means "sea monster" or "serpent".

I now believe the bibel has many flaws. Mainly becasue we have grown smarter and our brain is bigger. Also technology has played a big role.

One more thing. The bible says that dinosaurs were made along with humans by God and places us humans with them about 6000 years ago. When science tells us that dinosaurs lived 230 million years ago and there is no scientific proof that humans existed during that time.

THERE IS SUCH A THING AS THE BIBLE TIME STORY AND THE AGES OLD EARTH PREPARED AGES IN TIME TO BE INHABITED BY BIBLE WRITERS

Adam died age 930, Methusaleh was age 243, in 726 years he was in flood
year 1656 after Adam.
Enoch, Noah at 2410 to 2060 BCE, Abraham died 1883 BCE and Moses 1513 BCE, Judge Jair 1212 BCE, Eli 1241 - 1143 BCE, Samuel 1183 - 1083 BCE, David 1077 - 1037 BCE and Solomon 1037 - 997, Daniel 633 - 606 - 533 BCE and Ezra, Nehemiah, Haggai. Zechariah and Malachi 443 BCE.

Gen.1:1,2; Job 38:30-32 [ Space existed when book begans ]; Job 38:4-7; Gen.1:3-35; Heaven is inhabited when ages old earth is prepared ages and
animals [ this long time span could have been for dinosaurs and what ever was here the earth should have the story, even the giant men that were before the flood ];
So animals are ages in time before men, plant life is before animals and plant life is given times and seasons [ the day as time for God already existed ]; So Adam was 130 years old when Seth is born Gen.5:3, 5;

You sort of answered your own question, The Bible is a service manual for humans written and inspired by God. Just like Ford and Chevy write service manuals for their cars and trucks.
See , the dinosaurs came before humans,and if you read the first steps in creation, before humans in Genesis, it never states how long the "PROVERBIAL" day lasts, so it could be 6 - one hundred year days...6 one thousand year days...or six ten thousand year days... that it took to create the perfect climate for humans. The Bible agrees with this, when it states in the EYES of GOD a THOUSAND YEARS IS LIKE A DAY.
But back to the subject. The mention of the dinosaurs are not essential to Human existence, and to Human morality. So not an important topic in the HUMAN owners Manual called the BIBLE!

The Bible does not mention penguins, does that mean the Bible is wrong? The Declaration of Independence does not mention dinosaurs, does that mean the Declaration of Independence is foolish? Darwin didn't mention September 11th, does that mean Darwin was wrong?

*rolls eyes*

Normally I'd mention that the dinosaurs died off millions of years before the Bible was written, but the Bible *does* claim to talk about the beginning of time, and it claims that Adam named all of the animals...

Of course, that's the first clue that the myths did not really happen. Not all species live at the same time.

You mean Jesus horses?

--Edit--
Bullcrap. I'm looking right at Job 40 and 41. They talk about behemoth and leviathan. There were over 1000 differant species of dinosaur, ranging from tiny to gigantic, and in various forms. Two words to describe animals which sound suspiciously like an elephant and a whale just doesn't cut it.

There are a lot of hidden things encoded in the bible. They say something and they mean a wide variety of things. If you read Revelation you cannot possibly take it literally, if you seek God and ask for knowledge and understanding you will see.
Things can be said without being said (see: implication).
God wrote the bible through people and He meant everything that was said, you just have to seek truth with a renewed mind ;)

They may have existed before but they also existed with.Job chapter 40 talks about a brontosaurus type beast called Behemoth.
The' Ica rocks of Peru' (google that name) are engravings from thousands of yrs. ago showing man hunting a stegosaurus and other facinating things.
God told Job,"Behold ,Behemoth whom I made along with you.He stands un- moved in the rushing river,eats grass like an ox and has a tail like a cedar tree".
Elephants and Hippos have teeny tails and crocodiles don't eat grass and have :ribs of iron".
No doubt,we've been lied to for years.
The Paulaxy river in Texas has fossilized footprints of a dinosaur and man in the same spot.

The Bible also neglects to mention the fact that God catches flies with his tongue and I know that's true because I've seen Him do it myself.

It's a weak book with a lame plot and unbelieveable charachterization. I give it half a star and suggest reading the back of a ceral box for more entertainment.
