ok, so iv'e been going out with this guy on simple dates for a few weeks. these dates were all about prom stuff, since he was my prom date. at the end of everydate, we just hugged; he didn't seem like he was going to kiss. At prom, he wasn't "touchy", and when we danced, he wouldnt look right at me-he only talked into my ear. so come to the end of prom, i get up near him so our shoulders are leaning against eachothers, yet he doesnt really make any move other than talking to me. yeah, so at the end i gave him a kiss on the cheek. he seems really shy and intimidated by me, but when i ask others about him they just say that he's nice. so is he shy or just not interested in me..he only needed a prom date?

This sounds like a very shy guy. He was likey wating for a sign from you that you liked him.....and as you were waiting for him to make a move....it never happend.
