John 5

21For just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, even so the Son gives life to whom he is pleased to give it. 22Moreover, the Father judges no one, but has entrusted all judgment to the Son, 23that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father, who sent him.

Jesus proves his equality with the Father, by specifying some of those works which he does that are the peculiar works of God. His and the Fathers work is so interwoven prove that Christ said not wrong when he made himself equal with God. It means that all should honor the Son just as they honor the Father. It also means that if we do not honor the Son, we do not really honor the Father either.

It tells me they are not the same person. This trinity doctrine is in all false religion and the bible never did teach that.

(Colossians 1:15-17) . . .5 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation; 16 because by means of him all [other] things were created in the heavens and upon the earth, the things visible and the things invisible, no matter whether they are thrones or lordships or governments or authorities. All [other] things have been created through him and for him. 17 Also, he is before all [other] things and by means of him all [other] things were made to exist,

this also sounds like two spirit persons. One is a first Cause the other a first Creation.

These statements are true. The Son of God is the pure representative of God. He is the transparent via media to the Absolute truth (God) also known as Krishna, Allah, Jehovah, Vishnu, etc.) One should give the same respect and worship to the Son of God as he does to God Himself Why? Because he is representing God and giving the knowledge how to return Home to Him. Serving and worshiping the pure representative of God is more pleasing to God than worshiping God directly. This is Gods desire and we should Follow to please Him. But much in the bible has been changed by King Constantine and his click of scribes at the council of nicea in 324 AD For the original new Testament before king Constantine changed so many things in it.
