You can still have a las vegas wedding and have a reception with family. There is a trend that is becoming very popular with couples...having the wedding on a night during the week, say Thursday or Friday...and then have a reception on another night, say a Friday or a Saturday. That way he can have his small ceremony with your close fmaily and friends, and he won't have to be the center of attention...and you can still have a huge party afterwards to celebrate with everyone!! If you are going to do that, make sure you word the invitations properly...there is a certain etiquette about writing invitations to the party because after the day of the wedding it is no longer called a reception, but the party honoring you and your new husband. Talk to him about it...he might change his mind. It is all about compromse.

I got married at the Wedding Bells Chapel at Alexis Park Resort (across from Hard Rock hotel) on May 1st. I found it on lasvegas.com. It was gorgeous. It was outside in a courtyard. The people are very nice. We got a cd with digital pictures, a dvd of the wedding, bottle of champagne and glasses, and flowers for both of us. They have several packages to choose from and our's was around $300. You can't beat that for how nice the ceremony was!!

congratulations! The website below lets you browse all the chapels, search all the wedding packages by cost, and has a magazine with ideas for small weddings. Of the small chapels, I really like Little Chapel of the Flowers, Little Church of the West and Graceland Wedding Chapel.
Have a fantastic wedding!

I went to 2 weddings in Vegas and both ended in divorce. Please dont let that happen to you guys. On the strip there are 10-20 wedding chapels including an Elvis one. Congratulations on the marriage and good luck with the festivities.

Mandalay Bay and Caesars' Palace have GORGEOUS wedding chapels - very classy, not tacky. You might want to go to their websites (www.mandalaybay.com or www.caesars.com) to get info about booking - you might not be able to just drop in like you could at some of the independent ones.
