Or the war in Iraq, or this new-age American war against Islam? There must be plenty of people who still do, and who think America is moving in the right direction. I think each of those people should be sent to Baghdad for two weeks with 100 dollars and the clothes on their back. When they all returned the president would have 0% approval rating and things would change really quick around here. Who agrees?

Considering that our president claimed that he "speaks" to a Christian God who guides his decisions, this question is completely appropriate in this section. Markyyy is right, Jan-Peter Balkenende is a tool in the Netherlands, I lived there when he was elected (if I remember correctly he was a member of the Christian Democratic party). And so far I count 3 or 4 people who have answered who should go to Baghdad for a couple of weeks, then come back and answer this question again.

I am American and I do not support Bush. He is an incompetent idiot sending men and women into an illegal war. Maybe his daughters should serve so he would know first hand what a true failure he really is. He's a lying cheat and we all know this war was for his own agenda because of his greed and ego. He's a big bloody stain on the USA and his lies will catch up with him on judgement day because he cannot lie to God for God is all knowing.
We have no respect and are now the laughing stock of the world. I have never supported this war and it saddens me so to see a whole country torn apart and Innocent US soldiers killed as well as 10's of thousands of Iraqi's.

The President - Sure I support him as I support every politician to do the right thing and lead appropriately.
War in Iraq - .... I would rather have 10,000 soldiers die for a cause than 3,000 to die for no reason except a temporary regime change.
War against Islam - Well we are kind of in a spiritual war anyway, but no, I would not support a physical war. I can still be friends with Muslims, but the fact remains that we are largely theologcial enemies.

Sadly, it's not the wrong section, considering people still believe that religion has a place in politics.
Keep your faith out of my laws. There are too many religions in this country, and not everyone wants to/chooses to/does believe in what you believe in.
Bush failed as a president, and he's already on the Top 10 Worst Presidents Ever lists.
But, considering it seems the heavily religious folks believe that God can fart and make the winds blow, it doesn't surprise me that they are blind to how flawed Bush really is.

Answer is simple,
Those who voted for Bush-Chaney twice in the past 7 years support Mr President.
However, those who gave a different answer should have voted at that time .
They must SHUT- UP! now.

We don't have a president, we have a prime-minister. This is a world wide web. Take close notice of the word "world".
But, to answer your question: I don't like Jan-Peter Balkenende. He supports the war in Iraq, which i despise. He's clearly moving Holland in the wrong direction.

very productive question
unlike many others in the R&S section.
i know i dont--and if i went to Bagdah then i wouldnt even more.
I have been to a "3rd world country" and its not
pretty. A power as strong as the US should help it not occupy it. but of course it is always easire to do what is wrong over what is right...
sad, very very sad.

I support the President AND I LOVE THIS LAND!!!!
I don't agree with what you said, except for the first two sentences. The rest is spoken from ignorance and not keeping up with current events.
I served my nation and am proud to be an American. Sounds like you need to go to Iraq and live the way they do to see that God has blessed us and given us excellent leadership.
GOD BLESS THE USA!!!!!!!!!!

all I am going to say about this is that I will support our troops because they need our support do I believe in what is going on well that would be hard to say. the news we see would tell me no but I have talked to a few of the men and women who have been over in the middle east and some of them feel they are really helping so I am not sure how to feel......

I disagree with him as well as the war.
Here is my list of qualifications for a president:
Must be devoted to peace.
Must be of above average intelligence.
Must have a modicum of social grace.
Must be dedicated to civil rights.
Must be unwilling to trade civil rights for ANYTHING; our country was founded t preserve such rights. One cannot simultaneously preserve such rights while removing them.
Must believe in the separation of powers.
Must believe in the separation of church and state.
Must be in favor of small government.
Those are a few.
