by "hook up" with her...meaning "date her" hope. Hooking up these days can mean differently. Looks help out attraction but its what is in the person that makes the relationship. Start a conversation with her. Ask her how her day has been and go from there, tell her I know that we dont talk that much but there is something about you that seems special. Ask her in the conversation have you scene this movie? Lets check it out this weekend if your available that is.

Okay, i'm a girl, and i have been in this same situation. All the girls and even some guys in my grade ask me for this kid of advice. Maybe try:
YOU: I'll tell you my answer to this is you tell me yours first, okay?
HER: Alright.
You: Okay, so if their was one guy you could date who would it be?
HER: Um.... i dunno, Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom, etc.
YOU: Oh, I would pick....you.
HER: oh.....: P
YOU: Would you still go with Johnny or Orlando or was that just to get out of telling me the truth.
HER: Yeah, I'd go with....you.
YOU: Nice, so if you wanna go out sometime, we could go to the beach or something.....

Find a cute creative way of doing it that will make her happy not like " hey ___ will you go out with me?" Like buy her something pretty and say something more creative.. come one dude use your mind! =] Girls love it when you try to please them... and go out of your way to do it =] If you think it sounds stupid trust me it won't to her even if thinks are a lil' dorky it makes them cuter..
