I got my Chihuahua at the animal shelter. He is a very good dog too. I would definitely go that route. Here in Southern California there are Chihuahua's every week at the shelter.

WATCH OUT for scammers. They post on MANY internet sites, claiming to have chi pups for very cheap- the way to spot a scammer- ANYONE asking you to send $ overseas (usually to CAMEROON) is a crook, plain and simple. They will say anything to get your $, and even send pictures of pups they've stolen from other websites. How to avoid being a victim? 1) NEVER send $ out of the country for an animal, no matter what the excuse why they're there 2) If it sounds too good to be true, it is! They get too many folks to send them $ by promising them a chi or a maltese or pug or whatever for only a few hundred $s. For a legit cheap chi, try www.petfinder.com, as others have suggested.

Check out the shelters or chihuahua rescues. There will be an adoption fee, but the dog will be spayed/neutered and will have its shots.

Check a local shelter or rescue group, those dogs are ones that need homes the most. The next place to check out would be craigslist, http://www.cragislist.org and look under pets.

Hello, check the classified ads in your local newspaper under "PETS". Sometimes you get them dirt cheap, and sometimes you can get it for free. When you find one, be careful you're not getting Jipped. Look for readings like, "Good dog to a loving home", and so on. Good Luck with your search, and I wish you luck.

verry unlikely. and if you find one make sure you check to make sure it is heathy.
They often need c-sections and teh raising alone cost more than that if done correctly. Are you going to be able to pay for teh vet bills and supplies looking for a purebred and not wanting to spend money.
I breed chis and I take mom and pups to vets a week after birth to make sure they are ok and then they get shots and wormings by the vet not to mention the food and time. 1 puppy without c-section cost me over $100 and I sell for $300
no not free-$50
Good Luck you will need it
