Do Ukraine women show affection as much as western women? They seem to date at a slower pace.?

So yes I went and spent most of a week with a woman I wrote to and called for about 8 months. She is 23 and I am a disheartened 28 year old .

The conversation tells me she is very serious about me while her body language below the shoulders tells me she is not.

She would only open up at meal times at which point it was pretty easy to make her laugh and smile and look shy.

I’ve never seen a woman blush so much just to have me hold her hand and look at her eyes.

It was like dating an old fashioned woman that dressed like a modern model and liked to show what she has looks wise, but also with a good education and capable of having her own career if she wished. But after one week not even a hug! What’s up with that!!??

Lets see, my experience with western women are they want to play around but not have long term commitments so I do not want to go back to them just yet. Some are very nice though, just not around me.

Sometimes women think I’m for sure already married or already have a girlfriend so they stay away from me L , I don’t know about intimidating but most of my friends are 40+ year old men, they are not intimidated by me, younger men, don’t hang with any.

I don’t think she owes me anything I really did go see her,

I’m happy to wait, it’s just so strange for me. It was her time of the month too by the way. She was not happy with me when we talked about it at the end of the week and she explained that women do not hug a man or anything else very quickly, she was not happy since I waited a week to ask.

Isla, if you are like her then I’ll come date you next! My mother would be much happier!

Oh, sounds like me, only tha I'm prettier =D and my body language below my shoulders is unique and decent.
I am n't ukraine but I'd think they go slower when dating, which I think it's ok. and the fact the you traveled overseas to see her (if you did) doesn't mean she owe you anything. Love is patient and patience should be the start.

If you study up on the effects of world war 2, and Russian culture you would understand. When Germany invaded Russia, there were so many Russian men killed off that even to this day, there are 3 Russian women to 1 Russian guy. You also have to take into account that Russian women are raised different than American women, they are raised to settle down with a good providing man, and have a family even to this day. It's kinda like a reverse roll from the United States.

That's normal, if she was brought up in a traditional family, to not rush into hugs after one week. But if you travelled across the ocean just to see her - then it's not normal at all. She's intimidated by you, or she's too afraid to ruin it all or not comfortable in some other way.
