good day, my friend owns a junkyard and recently bet me that i could not jump 3 cars with the help of a makeshift ramp in my convertable 83 VW rabbit, I have faith in my car cuz she purrs like a kitten and im sure she could easily clear 4 cars with no problem, this is set to go down this saturday at sunset, please give me some tips on how to prepare!! thanks!

Once in the air the car has to come down. Then the suspension has to cope with over twice the weight of the car alone Mass = velocity squared. You do not have racing seats roll cage and kidney belt not to mention helmet and fire suit. Please do not attempt such a action until you study the angle of the approch and angle of the ramp on the runout side. Yes with out another ramp you will crash when you hit the ground G force will tear your hands off of the steering wheel. You will loose control and roll your driver car. But Hey be sure there is plenty of camers recording your adventure so your life insurance won't pay your surviors. You have accident and life from Loyds of London already don't you? DONT DO IT!

make sure the transition onto the ramp is smooth so you don't lose any speed going up on it. I think a 23 degree angle ramp would be best. And you should be going about 50 mph at takeoff. oh, and get a digital camera that takes movies and post it to youtube. I'll look out for it. oh yeah, wear your seatbelt

Take out all the glass, cause it's gonna shatter when you land. You might also think about taking off the gas tank and putting a fuel cell in to avoid possible explosion upon impact. As for distance, take out everything in your car that weighs anything. Take off the AC compressor, the power steering pump, all seats, and anything else not bolted down. Less weight, more distance. Wish you luck!
