Are today's boys more sensitive? Because sometimes boys come crying to me with their problems. I am girl, btw. I get sort of freaked out. Growing up I was taught that boys don''t cry and have issues/problems. They just ignore problems.

Yes we are - or at least more of us are willing to open up to those we care about (or trust as true friends). And at the same time, we are able to actually listen (and understand) when the women (friends and otherwise) are looking for emotional support of their own.

In the past, we held in all of our emotions until we exploded - this is where the "mid-life crisis" idea came from. Everything that was wrong could easily be fixed by "trading in" the old wife/car/job with something new (usually young and blonde, and a corvette)

Guys tend to hide their emotions most of the time true. It ruins the "tough guy" appearance. Nowadays guys don't hide their problems. But they've always been affected. And most people say that a guy who cries is a wimp. But it takes alot of balls to cry to someone when your a guy, overcoming sterotypes and such. Don't be too freaked out, it can be a little disconserting or whatever the word is, but its perfectly normal.

were you also brought up to believe that girls are nothing but baby making maids who aren't allowed to work and are there only to do as men please? I have plenty of guy friends who are very strong individuals, but they still have to have a good cry every now and again. EVERYONE needs to learn to deal with their emotions, and that whole sexist view of boys don't cry is complete bullsh*t.
