Anywhere. One secretary at my HS got married in the rotunda of the school's main building because that's where she met her beau. But talk to your pastor, too. Some churches think that a wedding outside the church walls somehow demeans the ceremony's sacredness.
In your case, it sounds like you want a "destination wedding." Those can be anywhere: Bahamas, Mexico, Atlantic City, etc. Just be aware that very rarely can more than a few guests afford the time/expense of traveling just for a wedding (especially since they were planning to use their vacation budget on their own plan).
BTW - instead of the ABCs, you could have made the question "Where should I have my wedding?" - that makes it more useful for the community.

First of all, check out Beds and Breakfasts. Sometimes they have lovely wedding packages.
Another idea is a cruise. We were just on a cruise out of Galveston and the couple and their parents, sibs and close friends were with them. It was a five night cruise to Mexico. When we made our first port the cruise line had made all the arrangements and they got off at Cozumel for the wedding and celebration and then back on the cruise that evening. Very festive.
Also, if your thinking beach check out some of the high end hotels in your beach area. They usually have wedding packages as well. Hit the internet or yellow pages and start emailing or calling.
I however would go for the cruise if I had to do it all over again. Great fun, everything included and VERY affordable.

a wedding can be anywhere. Not only preachers/priests have the legal right to perform marriages. You could get a justice of the peace anywhere.
Or get married on a ship by a captain.
Really cool hotels? Vegas. NYC. Miami. any big city has hotels.
Sunny warm beaches? Well in SC--Myrtle Beach, Charleston. In GA, Savannah. In Florida, most of the cities. The Gulf coast--including panhandle Fl, Alabama, gulf side texas. California. San Diego would be nice.
You could get married outside of the US. Mexico. Along the Mediterranean has big hotels and nice beaches. Italy, Greece.
Sandals resorts do tons of weddings in the Carib. Hawaii (especially Maui) is always a popular choice. If you can afford it, Bora Bora or Tahiti.
You can get married on the beach, in a park, on a ship. You can get married anywhere you can imagine. All you have to do is pay someone to perform it.

Are you looking for a vacation destination? Do you want everyone to travel to get there, or do you want something near your hometown (wherever that is)? There are literally millions of "cool" places and beaches.... It's a big world out there.
Pick a place that is special to you. I plan a church wedding because I believe God is part of the marriage, but it that's not for you, pick a place that's special for you and your intended. You can get married in a backyard, a park, heck even a cemetery if you wanted, anywhere you can get your officiant to go (and you can legally enter).
(you should have used the extra characters to finish your question!)

At least you know the alphabet. That's a plus! Now that the warm weather is here a lot of people are having weddings outside. Find a romantic spot in the mountains or at someones multi million dollar home. Hell the sky is the limit. Be creative!

look into art museums in or around your town, I live in Phoenix Arizona and there are at least 3 museums I would totally get married at; they have spectacular settings, and since most are non-profit or funded by the city, you can rent the facilities (after hours) for a very fair price. also, look at some natural resources you have near, ie - rivers, falls, canyons, lakes...most state recreational departments have really beautiful settings, at really cheap prices! Or, see if any of your friends belong to country clubs, that they could recommend or even get you in at their member rates...Good Luck!

I live in South Texas. I am getting married at our local aquarium. Its a great atmosphere and has things for young ones to do! Its tropical, yet indoors. We also have a waterfall for the entrance, and its our alter. Look around locally for botanical gardens, or aquaruims, or even museums! They make great settings for fun themed weddings and you can do both the cermeony and reception in one place!
