When I graduated all of my family members that attended the party gave money. I ended up with a heap of cash and was exstatic about it. I would give money only because you never know what her next plans are...she can use the money for anything from a vacation to living expenses.

A small piece of jewelry, the traditional Cross Pen & Pencil set, cash is always good, a key chain with her name engraved, any other engraved object, etc...
Why don't you call her mom and see if she can make a suggestion? It depends also if she is graduating from high school or college.

A nice set of pearl earrings is something she'll be able to use and treasure for many years.
My godparents gave some to me when I graduated 20 years ago...I wear them often, and think of my godparents fondly every time I do.

Hi,
Give them a small painting of something related to graduation that will make them feel happy...
They can then remember it for long. :) Simple decide than send a picture of photo of what you want to http://www.paintyourlife.com/ and they make it a painting for you.
