Let me explain this to you as if you were stupid. There is no god. (As if I really had to tell you.)

And yes, if you can't figure out why we are here, just say, "God has His reasons." That's so much easier than doing all that boring scientific research and trying to think up a hypothesis or doing experiments.

To me, God exists regardless of what you know. You have your opinion, but that's all it is to me. Psalms 14:1 says, "The fool hath said in his heart, there is no God."

Proponents of that argument call this "Faith." Faith is what one has when evidence is lacking and they still want to believe "X." You could just as easily argue that you'd have to know everything to know that God DID exist.

God is not just an explanation. God is a reality. We believe in God because he truly exists and he has made this known in our hearts. We do not just point to him as some explanation. We have a personal relationship with Him.

Perhaps you prefer "I don't know everything, therefore god does not exist." Would either statement make sense? Why just pick on one?

By the way, your fellow atheists did not understand your question - that's why they are getting on your case. But they are the smart guys?
