Does God care what my career is, as long as it benifits others? I am considering things that are not morally questionable, but am looking at things like computer science or music composition/teacher... will God have wanted me to do something else with my life?

Ok, I guess I need to revamp what I was trying to get at... Do you think God will care if I do programming or music for a career, enjoy it, while I could be going into missions or pastoring, though I feel anyone could do that?
I have open doors to all of these, but no clear one has presented itself as the one, for over a year. I only feel called to missions to help, but then so to pastoring, and then I would conduct music with a christian emphasis and the same with programming (doing work for churches, others, etc.)
So, would God care...

One of the points on the Noble Eightfold Path is Right Living. It is important to choose a career that does no harm, and causes no suffering. Aside from that it is important to choose a career that goes along well with your personal dispositions and makes you happy. We spend a great portion of our lives at work. The wrong career can add obstacles to living a spiritual life.

No.. .. A congregation elder between Jehovah's Witnesses desire no longer resign his appointment as a results of his option to assist his youngster's larger practise. The questioner's supposition are uncovered as extremely of course untrue while one considers that many Jehovah's Witness elders are themselves matriculated in the direction of a school degree. The so-observed as "source" of this questioner reminds a Bible reader of John 8:40 4-40 seven.

Great question! This is what I have I have learned:
Look at the area of your life that you have discontent. That is spirit's way of telling you what your longing is.
If you run around in your life and do a million things but not the one thing you really want to do, then you have not accomplished what you came to earth to do.
Even if the idea is silly or not practical, do it anyway. And, even if you have to balance activities in your life, do it.
Wishing you the very best.

All the Big Guy requires is that you do the best you can on any given day. Some days you'll be 'better' than other days. But in the context of your life whatever you decide be sure and choose a "path with heart". 8^{I)

God cares about everything you do, even where you work. He gave you certain talents and abilities. Find a job where you are using the gifts He gave you. Let Him use you in your job to reach others.
Pray about it and watch for open doors of opportunity. If you are truly seeking His will about a career, He will reveal it.

I think God just wants us to be good people and do things with our lives that show love for others. I don't think career choices are foremost in His mind, more the way you treat others in both your professional life and your personal life. It's not what you do, it's how you do it.

Sounds like you have in the works for a wonderful career. God wants you to be happy, and if your dream career makes you feel happy, God is happy for you.

Pray about it. There are some paths that I feel God intends people to go down. If a door to a specific job seems wide open, maybe thats the path for you?

Of course God does. He cares about every aspect of your life...after all, He gave you life. Pray about it and ask Him to guide you in the direction that you should go. He has a special place in this world that only you can fill....that's exciting! He loves you so much, you're very special to Him!
