Not long ago, my Grandma got diagnosed with Diabetes, and she used to eat ice cream about 3-4 times a day! I really like it too, and feel bad for her cuz I've tasted some kinds of sugar-free ice cream, and it was gross! Please help!
Please don't cuss in your answer! Thanx!

Any ice cream that says "sugar free" or "no sugar added" is still going to have carbohydrates that she needs to watch out for. She'll never be able to eat that much ice cream again. My favorite is Bryer's Carb Option Ice Cream.

I would recommend the sugar free vanilla ice cream from Blue Bell. I was afraid of what it might taste like before I actually tasted it and when I tasted it I found it tasted better than anything else I had ever tried.

There arent any good tasting sugar free ice cream products. Some frozen yogurts are delicous though.

PS: I am supportive of no cussing also.

If Grandma [or you] can shop at a big supermarket chainstore, most of them have "sugar-free" or "diabetic" offerings...the best we've found is a Klondike bar called "Slim-Bear". We've tried several brands of half-gallon wodges of sugar-free [which is also low-fat, another good thing for a diabetic Grandma] and most are OK--stay away from 'English toffee' flavours...they ARE gross, quite grainy and icky-sweet from one of those substitute thingies. Choc, neopolitan & strawberry are usually pretty tasty. Bon appetit!

Another cold treat . . fudge pops made from sugar-free chocolate pudding mixed with water (not milk) or "de-fizzed" Wal-Mart Caffeine-Free Diet Sam’s Cola, and low-carb (4 grams) vanilla yogurt.
