They sell some really nasty flavored products to help children stop sucking their thumbs. Try buying some of it, and painting it on your nails. This will server as an instant reminder to you if you inadvertantly put your nails in your mouth. It should only take a week or so to break the habit. You may also want to consider carrying gum to chew when you get the urge, and possible a stress ball in case you need something to do with your hands when you get strung out.

Carry a pack of chewing gum with you everywhere you go! It'll work, or pack onto your nail some really gnarly stuff you won't want to bite. Reward yourself. If you don't bite your nails for a full week, you get a hot LONG shower, or some new lip gloss, or whatever. Get a calendar, and mark the days you don't bite your nails. See how long you go. If you go a full month, you get some me time, or no chores for the day, or you get that new top you've been eying at the mall. Try any of these things! It should work! Good luck growing them love! ;-D

Try putting that nail polish on them that tastes really bad. Or get fake nails put on so your real nails can grow underneath. That way you won't be able to bite your nails because they'll be covered up..

you can put fake nails until yours grow enough that you will think "Oh they look too good to bite them!". Or you can put on your own nails something that you don't like the taste of so you'll stop biting them!

Apply hand lotion regularly so you will taste it whenever you bite your nails & be conscious of it.
