I was in the hospital a lot last year for my stomach problems and because i couldnt eat they had to give me like some freaking steroids and something else and it was what put the weigh on me

find daily calorie intake calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours - it optimizes your metabolism)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have protein (soy products, legumes etc) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min (ideally 45min because the first 20-30min body burns carbs and only then starts burning fat), light weight training (more muscle=faster metabolism)
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, pasta etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

First of all eat healthy and in small portions ....mostly eat fruit and vegetables, chicken, fish etc... and drink lots and lots of water...exercise 3 to 5 days a week for and hour or 2 in the gym doing cardio and wieghts so you will keep fit and a healthy body and you'll lose weight much faster... hope I helped and good luck on dropping those 40lbs...I'm sure you can do it just don't give up :)

Exercize and proper diet. I recommend going to a nutritionist to help you come up with a good diet for you and meet with a personal trainer only once to go over what exercizes would be best for your body and to get the results you want.

If these are not within your means, cardio burns calories, so run, walk, swim, etc.

Strength training helps tone muscles and more muscles burn more calories even when you aren't working out.

Eat more vegetables (they are pretty much freebies, as they give you a lot of nutrition with few calories).

Don't starve yourself or your body will freak out and try to save itself by storing fat.

drink lots of water.

WELL IF YOUR SERIOUS HERE IT GOES:

1ST- DRINK A HALF GALLON OF DISTILL WATER A DAY.

2ND- BREAKFAST EAT ONLY OATMEAL ANT KIND AND A FRUIT OF YOUR CHOICE.

3RD- LUNCH EAT ONLY GRILLED CHICKEN BREAST OR BAKED FISH WITH MRS.DASH AS SEASON ONLY. AND A FRUIT OF YOUR CHOICE.

4TH- DINNER EAT A BAKED POTATO WIT ONLY A TEASPOON OF OLIVE OIL. AND BAKED CHICKEN BREAST AND CORN WITH NO BUTTER.

5TH- AS A SNACK EAT ONLY A FRUIT OF YOUR CHOICE OR POPCORN WITH LIGHT BUTTER.

AND DRINK PLENTY OF DISTILL WATER IN BETWEEN MEALS.

IF YOU DRINK A GALLON A DAY THAT REALLY GOOD. BUT HALF WILL BE FINE.

WATER IS A MUST NO SODAS OR CANDY OR FATTY FOOD!!!!!!!!

ALSO DO 200 SIT-UP MORNING AND NIGHT.

ALSO RIDE A STATIONARY BIKE FOR AN HOUR. IF YOU DON'T HAVE ONE THEN RUN AROUND YOUR BLOCK FOR 30 MINUTES NONE STOP.

DISTILL IN WATER BOTTLE ONLY.

ALSO DO SQUATS BY LEANING UP AGAINST YOUR WALL 3 SETS OF 30 IN THE MORNING AND NIGHT.

WILL HURT THE NEXT DAY BUT WILL GET BETTER AT IT.

P.S. IF YOU DO GOOD FOR 2 WEEKS YOU CAN HAVE ONE LIGHT JUNK DAY A WEEK :)

IF YOU DO THIS FOR 6 WEEKS WITHOUT CHEATING YOU WILL LOOSE THE 40 LBS!!!

SO GO FOR IT AND MAKE YOURSELF AND ME PROUD!!

Cut the calories and rev up the exercise. I wish there was a magic potion, instant gratification, in this category, but determination and persistence are what's required I'm afraid.
