In other words, all of the commandments would either go against the constitution or would be redundant.

What do you mean adopt ?? The United States of America, has made Laws in regards to the Ten Commandments. Many people other then Christians are trying to flush the Commandments down the stool. Christians realize what people like you are trying to do. What makes you think you can legally do away with the Ten Commandments ? True statement when it is said: satan is on a rampage. God Bless America !!!

Many states have laws against adultery. I don't think refusing to testify against yourself constitutes false witness. Lying in court is already illegal, but I think you can refuse to answer. Coveting is wishing for. You can't be prosecuted for wishing for things. That has nothing to do with a person being secure in his possessions and household.

Other than that, you are absolutely right.

get over it like it or not our nation was founded on Judea-christian philosophy and that is that study it if you need confirmation. Those thing are a part of what this country was founded for. people who want to try and find loopholes in any and everything and breakdown traditions just to fit their view of the world are wrong. all cultures and their beliefs are what made this country great. it was not meant to be entirely secular the separation was to keep any one belief from gaining control of government ,kind of like it is in other parts of the world(middle east), not to force people to worship in closets away from anyone to see.

Did you know that our legal system was and is rooted in the 10 commandments? Also the first amendment does not prohibit religion in the government. As any serious historian of American history knows they did not want religion becoming one of the branches of government or the Church to rule America so they wrote the first amendment. Some uninformed Liberals get the concept of separation of church and state from a letter Thomas Jefferson wrote to a Church.
The concept of seperation of church and state would have gotton you killed back in 1700's.

they don`t want the US to adopt the 10 Commandments, they
want to be able to post them. Any Christian knows that the
10 Commandments were given to show that no one is good,
no not one.
