In the name of God, the Gracious, the Merciful.

Glorify the name of thy Lord, the Most High,

Who creates man and perfects him.

And Who determines his capacities and furnishes him with appropriate guidance.

And Who brings forth the pasturage,

Then turns it into black stubble.

We shall teach thee the Qur'an and thou shalt not forget it,

Except as what God wills. Surely, He knows what is manifest and what is hidden.

And We shall provide thee with every facility.

So keep on admonishing people. Surely, admonition is, indeed, profitable.

He who fears will heed;

But the most wretched will turn aside from it,

He who will enter the great Fire.

Then he will neither die therein nor live.

Verily, he, indeed, will prosper who purifies himself,

And remembers the name of his Lord and offer Prayers.

But you prefer the life of this world,

Whereas the Hereafter is better and more lasting.

This, indeed, is what is taught in the former Scriptures -

The Scriptures of Abraham and Moses.

Holy Quran

As Salaam Alaikum wa Ramatullah Barakatuh brother,

Subhan'Allah, it is a wonderful ayat, stating clearly that Allah(swt) is the all seeing, all knowing and maker of all things. He does what he wills for reasons we can't always see at present. Belief in Allah(swt), his Prophet(saws) and the last days, and we shall be granted everything we NEED. Not always everything we desire, for Allah does not abandon his slaves, and is with us when we come against adversity.

But Allah(swt) guides whom he wills to Islam, and those who turn away from the call and choose not to hear, surely they are the loosers! When the last days come, they will beg and cry out, "Oh Allah! We believe! We wish to be muslim!" But it will be too late.

There are people who wrap them selves in the material pleasures of this life, and dont worry about the hear after. Indeed, this life is only a test, and we as muslims should strive to better ourselves for Jannah and worry not about money, politics or other trivial things this world decieves us with.

The same is true for Jews and christians, where it says in the Old Testament, "Oh Lord! Make me reasonably happy in this life, so I may be eternally happy with you in the next."

It is also said in Revalations, "I am the Alpha and Omega, beginning and end."

And Isa(jesus) said, "Forsake my teachings(Islam) in this life, and my father shall forsake you in the next."

Alhamdulillah, indeed Allah(swt) knows best.

I read the Koran (most of it) last summer, and I must say that you have selected a representative portion. It makes a threat of eternal hell and suggests that a man can save himself on his own effort and merit.

The Koran threatens hell on almost every page, and the Arabic in which it is written is jinglish and repetitive to the point of mindlessness. The Koran concerns itself with about 5 or six subjects, and then hammers away at those mindlessly over and over again while threatening people with hell. This is not a great work of either poetry or religion - it is clearly the product of a demon fevered mind.

Being wretched in the eyes of Allah holds no fear for me. It is a compliment. Thank you. I would watch out for Jesus, if i were you.
