1. He wants to be around you all of the time, which means you stay the rest of the night after sex.
2. He likes to cuddle up with you whenever he can.
3. He kisses you and hugs you in public and isn't ashamed.
4. He's excited about introducing you to his family and/or friends.
5. He's not shy about telling you what he likes about you, and more importantly will do anything to make you happy.
6. He will pass up the Superbowl to go out shopping with you, and isn't afraid to admit it later.
7. He lights up everytime you walk into the room.
8. You want to do everything you can to make him happy too because he's being so good to you.
9. He's not afraid to tell you what he really likes, rather than wants.
10. He's not afraid to tell you what he really doesn't like, but is willing to compromise without carrying a grudge.
11. He doesn't get bored with you in any way.
12. Even after a very long time, he will hold your hand, and when things go bad for you, will be there to help pick up the pieces.
13. Knows your limits and respects them.
14. Demands little from you, and always tries to make you comfortable .
15. Tries never to inconvenience you.
16. Admits when he makes a mistake, and apologizes even if he's not wrong, and never holds a grudge.
There's a thousand more reasons, including getting excited in other ways. But you get the point.
Some guys just let the flame keep burning, others burn out fast.
Time is your greatest test. If it lasts a long time, then it must be good.
However, all of the foregoing said, as a guy, I would suggest that you always be kind too and respect him as well. That helps keep the fire burning.
What makes the relationship even better, is when you both grow into each other, and, given time (again I stress this), learn to each lose bad habits.
See. Not so bad and .... dog and cat people can date too! Its just their pets that might have "issues".

If sex is removed from the picture, does he still want to be with you? If you tell him that you are uncomfortable talking about it, doing it, etc, does he still respect you, care for you, love you? That's the best way to tell if he sees sex as the goal or sex as an added bonus.

yes, he only wants sex, and what's more he's creepy and agressive about it. Ignore him, and if he doesn't bug off, get someone involved, a male friend, brother, dad or all of the above. If that is not enough, call the authorities. If he is bugging you at the pool, tell the staff there. His behavior is not respectful.

It sounds crazy, but just don't have sex. If he sticks with you for a while and it doesn't bother him that you guys aren't having sex, then he probably likes you for who you are. But if he gets irritated because you tell him you aren't comfortable with it, he probably just wants sex. My husband waited 2 years, and says he respects and trusts me more because we didn't.

depends on if he is always being sexual or if he is always asking what you are thinking, sending poems, calling you, and such. Also, did he know you before you started going out, or did he see a hot body and try to make you his gf?
